A wonderful 2 week family holiday in Provence

This villa is ideally situated in an elevated position at the top of a quiet side road just outside the village of Montauroux. The building overlooks a large terraced fenced plot with a shaded lawn above the beautiful infinity swimming pool.
The villa was actually larger than we had expected from the listed description and, in some respects, the photographs did not totally do justice to the property. It is large and airy with every facility you could wish for in a Provence home, let alone a rental property. It was really home from home.
We did not arrive at the villa until the early hours of the morning due to travelling in on an evening flight from the UK but the caretakers were there to meet us and help us settle in. The property was very clean and well maintained.
When we awoke the next morning we were delighted to find that our home for 2 weeks was everything we had hoped for - and more. Our concern about stocking up with provisions was resolved when we discovered several supermarkets only a couple of kilometres away which were open until 1 pm on Sunday.
The children were in the pool before breakfast arrived from the shopping trip and remained there for much of the holiday! They were shortly followed by their parents and grandparents.
The area is ideal for a family holiday with lots to occupy all three generations. The children and their parents made several visits to the beautiful 'Lac de St. Cassien' to spend time on the paddle boats equipped with slides and diving platforms. They also visited adventure centres with lots of climbing equipment and rope slides.
This was, of course, all a bit beyond we grandparents but we enjoyed several trips out to Grasse (the perfume centre), nearby caves and local villages - especially to browse their markets. We ate out on several occasions with our particular favourite being Auberge Fleurie in Fayence, about 8 km away.
We would have no hesitation in recommending this property to family and friends – or, indeed, to anyone seeking a relaxing holiday in Provence.
