Split level apartment in centre of Bargemon sleeps up to 4 people 60m2

This beautiful Provencale style open plan mezzanine studio flat is ideal for a couple, a family of 4 or group of close friends who are looking to have a get away from it all experience in a traditional village environment, the whole year round. The bedroom area is up on mezzanine and has a double bed and dressing area. The spacious downstairs sitting area has great views of the village and includes a double sofa bed and dining area with a traditional Provencale fireplace (and electric wall heaters for use in winter). The connecting kitchen contains electric hob & fridge/freezer. There is a separate bathroom with toilet, shower & washing machine. The village has 2 bakers, a butchers, a mini supermarket, a tabac, a fruit & veg shop and several great restaurants. There are also a large number of art galleries, a museum and a village outdoor swimming pool. There are local markets in Bargemon and nearby Callas and Le Muy every week. Draguignan & nearest large supermarkets are 25 kms.

Bargemon is a picturesque and peaceful medieval village nestling in the middle of olive groves, 500 metres above sea level in the hills overlooking the famous vineyards of Provence, close to the freshwater lakes of Saint Croix and Saint Cassien, and the famous Gorges du Verdon. Leading from the central square, a labyrinth of tiny passageways will guide you along side tall medieval buildings and archways past enchanting fountains (including one you can drink from) with a great selection of Provencale restaurants and art galleries. The local scenery is stunning with views out over forests and farms and down toward the Med. By foot there are miles upon miles of mountainous track ways for hiking, passing through vineyards, forests and fields. By car one can visit many sights of local interest, charming villages and of course the nearest beaches at Frejus, Ste Maxime (both 40mins) & St Tropez.

Additional information about rental rates

  • 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure all bookings. The full balance to be paid 6 weeks prior to your holiday, or full amount paid in advance if booked within 6 weeks of the start of your holiday. A refundable €350 security deposit to be lodged with agent upon arrival against damage to the property. It is expected that the apartment will be left in a clean & tidy condition.
    Please enquire about flexibilty of changeover days and extra nights, especially out of high season!
    Payment now excepted via Paypal as well as in local French bank account, in Euros.
  • Meet & greet arrival: To ensure top quality and worry free arrival for all guests, you will be met by our local Agent, who will be in contact with you once you pay your deposit. She will meet you at the property with the keys, run through amenities and be available should you need any assistance. She will also collect the keys on your last day, and check the inventory. Please note in the event of any accidental breakages, these should be replaced with like for like and the agent notified on departure, or the deposit will be held back.
  • An additional €70 is asked for in cash for when you leave which covers a professional cleaning and laundry service. During low season (in the winter) a heating charge is also additional we will advise you of this when you book. Logs can be purchased locally - please take extra care if you have an open fire, and please do not leave burning unattended at any time!

Centrally located apartment in beautiful village

This was our first time to the south of France. We loved the flexibility of being close to the sea (40 mins), mountains and lake(s). Since we travelled at peak season it was nice to visit the cities and beaches on the coast, and then return to this village in the evening, away from all the crowds and tourists.

The apartment is located on the second floor offering mountain views from two shutter windows. The loft contains a double bed, extra cot and the main living area has a fouton. There is a bakery, produce store, small grocery store and many small restaurants literally footsteps away! It is a beautiful old village that is lively at night and bustling in the day. Up the road there was a small car park where we parked for free. There is also a pristine local pool in the village which we began or ended our day with.

The owners were helpful and efficient in corresponding back and forth. They also provided an array of information about the local area and directions for day trips that helped maximize our experience.

The agent was personable and flexible as well as great at giving us directions and arranging key drop off and pick up.

I would definately return!

Lovely appartment in central location

This appartment is in a fantastic location in the centre of Bargemon. You come out the font door and it is a 30 sec walk down to the square with bars/restaurants.

The photo represents the appartment well. Its open plan with living/dining/kitchen downstairs with the bedroom in a mezzanine above. Ideal for a couple or sharers if you don't mind it not being private. The appartment was well equipped with plenty of kitchen equipment.

It was a couple of floors up so would not be suitable for those who struggle with stairs. Those with young children may also need to consider the suitability of stairs and the mezzanine.

The owners were helpful and easy to get hold of when we were making arrangements and gave us useful information on the area and getting there.

The agent was flexible with arrangements for meeting to hand over the key. She showed us where everything was that we might need and gave us information about the area.
