The Costa Tropical:
The Costa Tropical has a tropical micro climate produce by a combination of south orientation of the coast, the nearness of the sea and the chains of mountains which project this coast form any northern influence having war winters 20º and long hot summers aprox. 35º.
Almuñecar is 10 mins drive and offer you: Old castle, bird park, Friday market, wide range of shops, bars and pubs.
The Spanish Peninsular highest mountain is 1 hour drive, The ski resort is open since December until the endo of April.
Nerja, with its famous caves is only 10 minutes drive and has a really busy night live.

LA HERRADURA:
Lies on a beautiful bay between the headlands of Cerro Gordo to the west and Punta de la Mona to the East on the Costa Tropical. This unknown stretch of the coastline of Andalucia just east of the busier Costa del sol.
La Herradura boast some 320 days of sunshine a year and is one of the few places wher you can ski in the morning (75 minutes dirve) and sunbath on the beach in the afternoon. La Herradura does have a good selections of shops, bars and restaurants, many of them situated either or close to the beach.
You can choose what to do: relaxing on the beach or enjoy with the wide range of watersports that La Herradura offers (diving, windsurfing, sailing, tennis, horse riding, mountain bike, golf, walks).
