Silverlake Villa - Coral Bay Cyprus

We stayed at Silverlake Villa in August 2009. The villa was well appointed and in good sized, private grounds. The villa is 10 minutes walk downhill to the main street of Coral Bay and a further 20 minute walk through the town to the beach. The villa has an open plan living room, dining area and kitchen with all the facilities that you need (dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, oven, hob, DVD and TV). The pool and area is large and has great views all around from the mountains down to the sea. The patio area by the pool provides shade later in the day as the sun sets at the front of the villa. There are supermarkets on the Coral Bay main street which sell everything needed, however a supermarket called Phillipos on the main road along from the roundabout is larger and the prices are lower than the shops on the main street. There are a full range of restaurants and bars on the main street and we ate at a different location each night during our 2 week stay (we also stayed in and have a barbeque one night each week). The food was good quality and meal sizes were fairly large. Restaurants offered three course set menus for between €10.95 and €14.00, however individual starters were priced between €5 and €10 and main courses between €8 and €22 depending on selection. A large beer cost €2.50 to €3.50 and a bottle of wine cost from €12.00. The villa has two BBQ’s, so you can stay in and eat if preferred. There are a good number of bars along the main street that provide tribute acts, live music, disco music, karaoke and Sky Sports. The bars were not rowdy and were generally family orientated. Paphos is a 25 minute drive from Coral bay, which is much larger and busier than Coral Bay, however there was more than enough of a selection in Coral Bay which are all in walking distance from the villa. The arrangements made by Chris and Eleanor were without problem. We arranged a taxi through Savvas who was recommended by Eleanor and were collected on arrival at the airport and for our return on time and with minimum fuss. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Villa which provided a peaceful location, with all the facilities required for a stress free holiday within walking distance of all amenities. The pool area is great with a good size pool and plenty of sun beds and space for relaxing outdoors. The air conditioning keeps the inside of the villa cool and there is easily enough space for six people in the villa. We would recommend a stay at this Villa.
