Located in the heart of Rome in a characteristic area, rich of historic culture, on a pedestrian square, full of shops, restaurants, a pastry, a bakery, a health food store and a fruit shop. Very close to the Synagogue and the ancient 'Tiberina island' on the Tiber River that leads to the area of Trastevere. A 5 minute walk from the Pantheon. It is well connected and situated between the Vatican and the Colosseum. Fantastic sight-seeing walks. The apartment is located on the second floor of an ancient Roman house of 1700 AD, with no elevator. Recently renovated, maintains the characteristic wooden ceilings, typical of the Roman mansions. This sunny apartment is composed of an open space with a living room with kitchenette and sofa bed, one double bedroom, one bedroom with a French bed, a single bed and a small balcony, and finally there is a bathroom with a bathtub. This delightful and sunny apartment is situated in the pedestrian area of the Jewish ghetto, in the middle of wonderful walking tours. From Portico D'Ottavia or from Via dei Falegnami you reach the City Hall of Rome on the top of an long flight of stairs, once you are on top of this hill on Piazza Campidoglio and you walk across this amazing square, you may visualize the Roman Forum and the Colosseum. So down again a long flight of stairs and into a magical archaeological walks that take you as far as the Palatin, where you may find plenty of gardens where to rest. Otherwise going in the opposite direction from the apartment you are only a 5 minute walk from the Pantheon or from the bustling Campo De' Fiori and 10 minutes from Piazza Navona or from Trastevere, another ancient area of Rome full of busy restaurants, English cinema, interesting stores, botanical gardens and the beautiful church of Santa Maria in Trastevere.
