Tucked away in a nook of rural countryside is this charming villa, an old house beautifully restored in rustic style, is bare stone walls, terracotta tiled floors and beamed, timber ceilings all combine to create a picture you will love at first sight. Approaching this cottage you are greeted by fig and olive trees and an old protected well. Lawned gardens climb to surround the swimming pool with palm, cypress and almond trees sprinkled around. The interior is lovely, with some charming furnishings. The lounge as an open fireplace and satellite TV.Four steps lead up to a rather romantic dining area and an open kitchen fully equipped with a ceramic hob, oven and grill, microwave and fridge/freezer, connecting an exterior shaded barbeque area near the pool. The bedrooms are also in a shady, cool, rustic style. Deliberately rebuilt to reflect the rustic designs of many decades past, the stone walls maintain a pleasant coolness you will appreciate during sweltering summer months.

The villa is located 4km from the hamlet of Bordeira, not far from the attractive village of St. Barbara de Nexe and midway between the busy town of Loulé, where a bustling farmer’s market takes place every Saturday morning, and São Brás, around 5km away, towns where you will find a good number of good restaurants.

Had a great time, the villa is a thoughtfully converted farmhouse with all the modern conveniences you might need, the interior is tastefully furnished and along with decor reflects the rustic character of the house. The kids loved the pool which is well maintained and like the house kept very clean.

The location feels very rural with only a small number of villas dotted about the hillsides, it made a great base from which we were able visit the local towns and coastal resorts.

Would happily recommend this to friends and family.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house in a lovely location. The house is wonderful - perfectly maintained, super rooms and pool. Very much suited to our desire for a get-away-from-it-all holiday although not far from both Faro and the airport. We also appreciated the excellent and easy communication from the owner and especially his recommendations for some local restaurants. Highly recommended.
