Photos and Description of this Faro holiday farmhouse Overlooking an old valley

This little villa is a restored old house with its traditional features, adjacent to an olive grove and enjoying a peaceful rural ambiance with a fantastic countryside views. The lounge, with beamed ceilings and thick stone walls, is compact and cosy, with comfortable furnishings, satellite TV, CD and DVD system, and an arched entrance to the dining area. The kitchen is equipped with a ceramic hob, oven, fridge, microwave and washing machine, and from which a door leads onto a nicely shaded patio with barbecue next to the swimming pool and sun terrace with views across the valley. The two bedrooms share a full bathroom, one of them have a corner fireplace.

The villa is located in Corotelo, 5km from the hamlet of Bordeira, not far from the attractive village of St. Barbara de Nexe and midway between the busy town of Loulé, where a bustling farmer’s market takes place every Saturday morning, and São Brás, around 5km away, towns where you will find a reasonable number of good restaurants.

The cottage was exactly as it was described and was immaculate; the maid visited mid week to change towels and check everything was ok.
It took less time than expected to get to from the airport but if arriving on a Sunday make sure to stop at the first open shop, unless you have arranged for essentials beforehand, as the local one is closed but does have somewhere to eat.
There are limited games at the cottage if you're taking younger ones, though the pool is a great size for them and not too deep.
We met the owner, who was incredibly nice and helpful and gave us lots of useful information.
Would definitely stay again for a lovely relaxing break.
