Huge lounge area. One bathroom, one shower room. In heart of historic Dornes, very short stroll to lake. Superb views of lake from most rooms and terraces overlooking Dornes and Lake.

We are in the centre of Portugal – between the passionate capital Lisbon and bustling Porto, within an hour of the long sandy beaches of the Atlantic. Dornes is a lakeside village with historic church on a beautiful peninsula overlooking the Castello do Bode Lake. A 10 minute drive to Ferriera Do Zezere for shopping facilities and 20 minutes to Tomar the Knights Templar UNESCO site and beautiful town with lovely restaurants. There are lots of activities available in the area whether sports, boating, fishing, horses, reading, cooking or gardening in the most ideal climate - rediscover your potential inspired by exquisite surroundings.

What one sees in the pictures is simply attractive and beautiful, no doubt. However, what one sees while staying in this house is even more attractive and beautiful. No words can describe what it is like to overlook a calm river in a very quiet atmosphere. The house is really clean, well-maintained and there's an artistic touch and the presence of good taste everywhere you look at. Here we realize that the fusion - and not the confusion - between man and nature happens. Time goes by at its own rhythm, with no haste.The owner and also her representative know exactly the meaning of the word hospitality. Finally I would like to express my gratitude for such a wonderful service and, obviously, would recommend this property to a friend.

Away from it all real portugal

Wish we had stayed in this Villa for the whole of our holiday.
Just wanted to say, what an absolutely fabulous Villa and place to stay. We really enjoyed ourselves in your magnificent part of Portugal.
Felt immediately relaxed and at home.
A superb house, pool, view and location. all of which we could not fault.
We ate at the local bar that you recommended, thanks to interpretations of the food by Fabio.
We swam in the lake most days and walked through the village.
Fresh bread rolls were delivered daily.
Both teenage daughters loved it. Despite the 15year old not believing we had arrived when we had. She thought we were winding her up when we said we were in the centre of the village.
Frans was very, very helpful informative and accommodating, when meeting us and aiding departure. Thank you Frans
and Thank you to everyone

We will definately be booking again in 2010. Not to be missed really good. Lisa
