Seven Borve is a traditional croft house situated at the edge of a coastal village on the island's south-west coast. Recently extended and renovated, the house offers very comfortable self-catering accommodation, a perfect base for exploring Harris and its neighbouring islands throughout the year.

  • Seven Borve is available for rent on a weekly basis throughout the year. Rates include heating, electricity, linen and towels. An initial supply of firewood and coal is also included.
  • Rentals begin and end of a Friday. As a general rule, guests are kindly asked to arrive anytime after 4.00pm on a Friday afternoon and depart by 10.00am on a Friday morning. We would be delighted to meet you on arrival to show you round and answer any questions.
  • We ask for a deposit of 25% to confirm your booking and for the full balance two months before your visit begins. If travelling by car on the ferry, please confirm availability with Caledonian MacBrayne Ferries before booking accommodation.

Welcome to Seven Borve: Seven Borve is a very comfortable and fully-equipped house at the edge of a coastal village in south Harris. Based on a traditional, stone-built croft house, Seven Borve is a family home that has recently been completely renovated and refurbished. The house is now available for rent, making it the perfect base for exploring and enjoying Harris and its neighbouring islands throughout the year.

Overview: Seven Borve is a well-appointed family house that retains the cosy intimacy of a traditional croft-house. Sleeping six adults or children (in three bedrooms), the house has two new bathrooms (one en-suite), separate cloakroom, large kitchen, family room and sitting room. A utility room houses washing and drying machines, larder and freezer. Oil-fired central heating throughout is supplemented by an open fire and a fuel-burning stove. For entertainment, Seven Borve has satellite television, a music system and a piano.

Supplies: Seven Borve is well-equipped for self-catering. A good range of general supplies can be found in the two village shops in Leverburgh and Tarbert. A travelling shop can also call at the house with a selection of basics. Stornoway, the main town on the island (50miles) has two large supermarkets, bakers, butchers and fishmongers. There is also a number of good cafes and restaurants, including Scarista House, Skoon and Pairc an t-Strath.
