The apartment is situated in a semi-detached Victorian Villa. It is tastefully furnished to a high standard and is well equipped. It has outstanding, panoramic seaviews from the back and the front looks on to the downs. There are two bedrooms with a double bed in one and two single beds in the other. The lounge/dining room is comfortably furnished with colour TV and DVD. There is a spacious bathroom. A well equipped kitchen with gas cooker and washer/dryer.

Engleberg is situated close to the centre of Ventnor a lovely Victorian town, which has retained much of its historical character. The accommodation is 5 minutes walk to the beach. Apart from the beach there are many attractions within walking distance including the Botanical Gardens, park, tennis courts, cricket ground and golf club. There are numerous pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance. The Isle of Wight is a diamond shaped island in the English Channel 5 miles from the South Coast of England. It has 92km of coastline and half the island is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is the ideal place for a holiday with a mild climate and fantastic unspoilt scenery. My friend and i thought that this apartment was fantastic . What you see in the photo's of the apartment is what it is like the only word i can describe it as is LUSH .Thee veiw during the day is fantastic and at night the stars are beautiful so peaceful. And what lovely people who's apartment it is .......Thank you

Definitely Worth a Look

This really is a superb apartment. My wife and I stayed there from 20th to the 26th September 2009 and had a fantastic time. The location is ideal with a short 10 minute downhill walk to the Spyglass pub or 5 minutes to the town centre where there's everything you need to either eat out or self cater. Staying in with a takeaway was a pleasure, I wouldn't want the apartment any further up the hill though.

I miss waking up to the sound and smell of the sea with the sunshine streaming into the bedroom already.

There is one minor criticism, there is no shower. It wasn't a problem for the two of us but a family wanting to freshen up before going out for the evening might take a while to run four baths in a row.

Do take advantage of the £30.00 weekly parking permit, it makes life so easy not having to fumble about for change all of the time. If you're celebrating a special occasion the Royal Hotel takes some beating for dinner and it's a short (5 mins) walk from the apartment, budget £100 for two including wine and pre dinner drinks.

Thank you for a wonderful holiday and we wish Mary a speedy recovery.
