A walk around Lebrija takes you to the Roman ruins, the famous Iglesias of Lebrija and the beautiful Plaza de España where the locals meet to pass the time of day and enjoy a coffee under the shade of the trees. It is also the mains hopping area of the town with all the amenities you would expect including banks, shops and supermarkets. Famous for its flamenco singers and dancers Lebrijas bars can often be the venue for an impromptu flamenco session. Lebrija´s train station is a main line station and you can catch the train to Cadiz City, Jerez, Seville and Madrid from here. The nearest beach is Sanlucar, with Chipiona and Rota just a little further south. Sanlucar is famous for the horse racing which takes place on the beach in August and its ferry service to the Doñana National Park to see the eagles and wild lynx (tours available). The city of Jerez is only 20 minutes and offers the waterpark, famous sherry bodegas and Royal Academy of Equestrian Arts plus the Moto GP track.
