Charmingly restored bastide built in 1780 located minutes from the centre of Lorgues. Comprising 5 bedrooms to sleep 10 plus a cot. Large spacious Living Room and Kitchen on the ground floor which remain cool throughout the summer. 2 Bathrooms and 5 Bedrooms located on the top two floors reached by a magnificent central staircase. Some of the bedrooms have spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The secluded garden leading from the house contains olive, lemon, fig, oleander and mulberry trees and is scented by the jasmine and lavender plants. The pool is safely enclosed by secure wrought iron fencing and is a tranquil place to relax. A wisteria covered pergola gives beautiful shade to eat al fresco. Walk 5 minutes into the town to reach the cafes, bars and shops.

Situated in the Var region of Provence, Lorgues is a charming medieval market town surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. The market - which is said to be the best in the area - takes place every Tuesday morning. The town also has many shops, bars, cafes and restaurants serving delicious provencal food. Lorgues is located only 40 mins from St Maxime on the Cote d'Azur where there is also an aquapark. The house is approx 1 hour from the glamorous resort of St Tropez. The stunning aquamarine lake of Lac St Croix is fantastic for swimming and watersports is only 45 minutes away in the direction of the breathtaking Gorges du Verdon. The lavender fields of Valensole are approx an hour and a half inland and are in flower from mid- June through July. Lorgues is surrounded by many other picturesque villages: including Tourtour, Entrecasteaux and Aups.

We rented this lovely house in August this year. We appreciated the spaciousness, comfort and found it very nicely decorated too. It answered to all our expectations. It is a house that likes to be lived in and we liked to live it, so for our family it was perfect. The house is very well equipped and well taken care

The house is perfect for families. Spacious and well equipt. The private pool in the garden is perfect and easy to overview.
The mix of old and modern interior in the house, makes it special and memorable. Beautifully restored house.
The house is situated close to the center of Lorgue, 5.min walk. Perfect! The surrounding area is also beautiful. I can highly recommend this property.

We had a perfect week here in late July 2009 and found the house beautifully restored, well equipped and very clean. Both the garden and pool are lovely and not overlooked by neighbours; and the owners are very friendly, as is the local caretaker. Lorgues centre is only a few minutes walk from so you can stroll to the shops, for a meal or a drink.
I am sure we will make a return visit.
