This holiday cottage is tucked away in a quiet lane a stroll away from the heart of the village of Biddestone. The cottage is situated within yards of the picture postcard village green and pond with two excellent Pubs on your doorstep. Internally, the property offers excellent quality self catering accommodation.The property is well furnished, light and breezy. Wisteria clambers up one side, honeysuckle up the other! Very peaceful! Entrance: through low door to open plan Kitchen/diner, living Room with seating area which can double as a third bed. Colour T.V. DVD. Music System. Well fitted kitchen with hob, oven, microwave and fridge freezer.Bathroom with shower, wc and hand basin. Upstairs is a built in Double bed which looks out onto the treetops, with two small wardrobes. (Please note, entry is from the foot of the bed) Outside is a small decked patio area with seating.Laundry can be arranged for long stay guests.All linen provided. Weekly cleaning for long term guests.

Biddestone is in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the edge of the Cotswolds. It is one of three quintessential English villages, Lackock, Castle Combe and Biddestone. Lackock has been used as the location for many English period dramas, the most famous of which is 'Pride and Prejudice.' The Georgian City of Bath is 20 minutes away. Bath is a National Heritage site famous for it's Spa which has been newly renovated and is quite sumptuous! Bath also has excellent restaurants, shopping, museums and theatre,many West End Productions come here first. The countryside around Biddestone is ideal for walking and biking; bikes can be provided. Most walks and Bike rides end up at a Pub! The ancient stones at Avebury and Stonhenge are a beautiful day out, and the White Horse on the Wiltshire downs is a wonderful place to picnic. Or, you can take a day trip down the Avon and Somerset Canal. Or Simply use this as a base to explore further South into Dorset and the Jurassic coast.

  • Damages deposit on weekly rates. Normally we take a cheque for £50 and then tear it up when you leave the property in good condition.
  • If you are interested in renting this cottage for longer periods we can discuss appropriate rates. Generally for one month rental in the winter season it is £800 all inclusive of heating and cleaning. Laundry can be arranged privately. Weekly cleaning and fresh linen is provided.
  • Should you require a bed and breakfast only service, add an additional £10 per night.

longer rentals: This property is ideal for those who need a temporary place on a monthly basis for purposes of work etc. During the off season we rent the cottage at £800 per month inclusive of heating/electricity weekly cleaning and fresh linen service. There is no telephone line on the property, so mobile phone is essential. Internet access can be arranged should you need it. Biddestone is an easy commute to Bristol, Swindon and Bath. London is 1 hour by fast train every half hour from Chippenham station which is 15 minutes(in rush hour) away. Train services are regular to Bristol and swindon (10/15 minutes by train.)

Do you fancy a long term weekend hideaway?: If you are looking for somewhere to escape to within easy commute of London, then this cottage is ideal. During Off season this can be arranged. Please contact us should you be interested.
