Nearest Airport: Faro at 35 Kilometres
Nearest Beach: beach at 2.0 Kilometres
Cabanas is a former fishing village, about 7Km from the city of Tavira to the East side and its beautiful and clean beaches turn it into a popular tourist destination in the summer. This area was established as such in 1997. The village structure is composed by a long line of low-rise houses, shops, bars and restaurants facing the Ria Formosa Nature Park. Tavira coastline is calm and peaceful, with extremely inviting eleven kilometres of fine white sandy beaches and very warm water. Tavira Island along with Praia do Barril, are the 2 most popular beaches in Tavira. Although a great variety of golf courses, there is fantastic golf right on the doorstep, with Benamor Golf Club just a 5 minute stroll away
