Villa les Hauts is a luxury newly built cut stone property built in the traditional style, on a small exclusive prize-winning development overlooking the old village of Durban Corbieres in the Languedoc region of Southern France. The accommodation consists of two double and one twin bedroom, one en suite shower/WC and a further bathroom and WC, living/dining room and kitchen, private heated swimming pool, sun deck, barbecue and terraces for relaxing outdoor dining. The house is furnished very comfortably to a high standard. There is Sky UK Satellite TV, DVD player and DVD library.In the kitchen there is a washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher, microwave oven and conventional electric oven and hob. Outside seating for 6 in a sheltered terrace, with a landscaped garden with additional seating areas and views of the medieval Cathar Castle of Durban Corbieres. Teak deck with heated swimming pool. Special features: Electric heating in each room.

Durban Corbieres is in the heart of the historic Cathar country with its own ruined castle as well as those at the nearby villages of Peyrepertuse and Queribus. The walled city of Carcassonne which is about an hour away was also a Cathar stronghold and is well worth a visit with its medieval buildings and ancient wall and moat. The Canal du Midi passes through Narbonne, about 40 minutes drive. In Narbonne you will also find a Sunday morning market, a covered food market open Monday to Saturday mornings as well as many good restaurants. The Mediterranean, about half an hour away offers not only swimming and excellent seafood restaurants but also water skiing, wake boarding and paragliding and aqua fun centres for children. At Sigean about 30 minutes away there is the African Wild Life reserve, one of the best in Europe It is also in the Corbieres wine producing region and just twenty minutes away is Tuchan which is the centre of Fitou production.
