This annex to the Renaissance villa of Lusignan is labelled by The gîtes de France as a Gite de charme with 3 stars. It is located on top of the hill on the edge of the 300 inhabitants village which offers 4 restaurants, a baker, a medical doctor, a post office, a tennis court, fishing on the bank of the river, everything accessible within 500 meters. This old house includes a large dining and sitting room with wood beams, a kitchen corner behind a bar and an open gallery where it is possible to eat and rest on the edge of the rose garden, of its green house and of the vineyard. One double bedroom, a bathroom with shower and separate WC; electric heating. High standard decoration. Private parking place. The house has access to a 2000 sqm park along the town middle-age city wall, with beautiful views over the valley. The park includes a Lebanon cedar and a giant thuya which hides a green dining-room under its branches.

The Loir valley: The river Loir is a north affluent to the Loire. Its valley is 45 minutes drive from the Loire and its grands chateaux. The Loir valley is well-known for its middle-age churches with XIIth mural paintings (one of the most beautiful, Saint-Jacques-des-Guerets, is 500 meters only from Lusignan). For its wines : coteaux du Loir, du Vendômois and Jasnieres. For its farmer markets. For its manors, castles and gardens (La Possonnière, Sasnieres). For the city of Vendôme. For the many music, theatre and folk festivals which take place in Spring and Summer.

The troglodyte city of Troo: Well-known for its troglodyte dwellings, this middle-age Plantagenet city has a Roman origin (one of the Lusignan gardens is called Rome as a Roman camp was located there). Richard the Lion Hearted fighted Philippe-August right on the hill side. Queen Elisabeth, widow of King John Lackland, lived there with her second husband Count of Lusignan.
