Laguna Golf apartments

We stayed in a two bed apartment over looking the 13th and 15th hole of the Oceanico laguna golf course. The apartment is newly built and was very clean. It is ideal for a group or family.There is a local shop about a 15 minute walk away, where you will need to buy essentials like toilet paper, dishwasher tabs, water etc. This apartment is totally self catering. There is no on site cafe or restuarants, but there is a small bar area, it opens at 11.30am and closed about 19.00hrs, so you will need to get a taxi to Villamoura for eating and night life. Do not walk as you will have blsiters, its a least a 45min walk. Beach is also about 45 mins walk or 15 mins in car. The only problem we encountered was getting a taxi, don't ask reception to book you a car, it never turns up. Phone your own, you can get lots of taxi numbers in villamoura. Reception are very good at doing airport transfers at 30 euro a car (four people).If you need to hire a car, do so when you arrive at apartment as its cheaper and lots of local agents about. Reception can help with this, also with golf bookings.
Book your own taxi for golf and reception charged us 20 euro one way ( 2 adults with clubs) to go to old course and car did not turn up, but we got our money back, and ended up booking our own taxi at a cost of 6 euro each way.The apartments are set around a lovely pool area, its really quiet, no music etc. great for relaxing. I would recommend Laguna golf apartments and would go back in the morning if I could.
