SKIING IN WINTER SEASON! Sicily might also be a good place to ski thank to Mount Etna, about 3,300 metres high. Skiing is generally possible from December to March. There are two main ski centres, one on the south side (Rifiugio Sapienza - Nicolosi) and one on the north side (Piano Provenzana - Linguaglossa).
