This pretty house has a bright airy living room with dining area and American Kitchen. There is a two seater sofa and a large three seater sofa-bed, free-standing fan, Sky TV, video player and CD/cassette player. The kitchen is equiped with washing machine, fridge-freezer, electric fan, oven/grill, 4 ring ceramic hob, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, cafetier, iron and ironing board. Outside there is a small terrace with table and chairs for eating breakfast in the sun or evening drinks under the stars. The double and a twin bedrooms both containing wardrobes, chest of drawers and bedside tables. Linen and towels are supplied along with beach towels. The fully tiled bathroom has a bath with shower over, washbasin, toilet, cupboard and hairdryer. All windows have fly screens. On the second floor there is a roof terrace with table and chairs, two sunloungers and clothes dryer. A welcome pack awaits you on arrival. Enjoy a glass of wine or beer before the adventure begins.

The house is situated on the outskirts of Garrucha which is an old Spanish fishing village, lying between Mojacar and Vera. Around the marina are plenty of bars and restaurants to suit most tastes. The area is renowned for its fabulous seafood. In high season the Garrucha promenade has a late night market with craft stalls and gifts that is great for a stroll after an evening meal. There are plenty of pavement cafe bars in which to watch the world go by. Local activities include water sports, fishing, deep sea diving, horse riding, 5 golf courses, go-carting and also a water park approximately 1 mile away. There is a bus which takes you straight there. Mini-Hollywood is only a 45 minute drive away. This is where such films as The Good The Bad and The Ugly were made. There is a well maintained Zoo and the price includes use of the pool.

  • A deposit of 25%(non-refundable) is required to confirm the booking. The balance to be paid 2 weeks before your arrival date. DAMAGES: a returnable deposit of £100 must be paid with the final balance. Cost of any missing items or significant damage, not a plate or drinking glass. The deposit will be returned to you within two weeks of your departure if there are no missing items or damage. Please help us to keep our house welcoming and pleasant for all our guests.
  • Directions to the property and directions on picking up keys will be forwarded once your final payment has been received. We are always looking to improve improve our house for visitors and all comments will be gratefully received. Although the house is cleaned after every guest we trust that you will not leave it in a mess and that you respect the effort we have put in to making it as comfortable as possible.
  • Almeria airport is 55 mins away. Murcia airport is 1hr 15mins away, Alicante is 1hr 45mins away and Granada airport is 2hrs away. It is possible to have airport pick-up from Almeria, Murcia or Alicante on request for a further fee.

Notes: Mojacar Pueblo is a pretty Moorish village, an old artists community, set on a mountain side 10 minutes drive away. A bit further, 45 minutes drive, is the famous Mini Hollywood where such films as A Fistful of Dollars was made a day out not to be missed with zoo, museum, wild west shoot-out and much more. There is a fabulous Aquapark 5 minutes from your holiday home, great fun for adults and children. Further afield, 2 hours drive along excellent motorways through spectacular scenery, is the historic city of Granada with the wonderful Alhambra Palace and old Moorish centre. Within a short drive there are a number of world class golf courses to challenge the most ardent golfer, with facilities to keep the non-golfers happy too. The local beaches are sandy and not overcrowded. Garrucha has a busy port and marina. Walk along the promenade and browse the art and craft stores selling their wares on the long summer evenings or have a delicious meal in one of the famous fish restaurants.

The house is on the Fuentamar Complex. This is a friendly place with beautifully maintained gardens and swimming pools, 2 for adults and one for toddlers and babies. Garrucha town is a very Spanish fishing fleet and port. The fishing industry is thriving and you can see the boats bringing back their daily catch to sell the the many local restaurants. There is a fabulous Friday market which extends through many of the towns main streets. The shops are varied and interesting. There is live music played nightly in the restaurants. Not far along the beach is Mojacar which has a very different feel. Here you will enjoy the hustle and bustle of a seaside resort with many English shops and bars. Nightlife along Mojacar Playa goes on until the early hours. Altogether this is a lovely part of Andalucia with something for everyone.

Golf: There are a number of excellent golf courses within easy reach of Garrucha e.g.. Valle del Este is an 18 hole PGA golf course, the Indiana Course on the Desert Springs Golf Resort and Marina Golf in Mojacar which offers a new 18 hole, par 72 course. There is enough to satisfy the most ardent golfer.
