Take the ferry from Anstruther harbour to the Isle of May at the mouth of the Forth estuary, to see the wonderful bird life (puffins, gilliwaites etc). Visit the beautiful rural village of Falkland and the palace, where Mary Queen of Scots played 'real' tennis (on the oldest court in the world!) On a Sunday visit St Andrews and walk the famous Old Course, which is closed to golfers but open for anyone to walk and enjoy the scenery. St Andrews has much to offer, this beautiful university town boasts wonderful buildings, a ruined cathedral and castle, lovely pubs and restaurants, great shopping and the famous 'Chariots of Fire' beach - an absolute must. All the villages along the East Neuk of Fife are worth a visit, such as the lovely harbour and galleries in Pittenweem, sample the famous award-winning fish 'n' chips in Anstruther and stroll around the harbour (and try the fresh lobster) in Crail.
