This city centre modern apartment is set in a recently rebuild building in the old historic Lisbon. The apartment has a privileged situation in the heart of the cultural, historical and elegant district Baixa Pombalina, very close to several museums, operas, theaters and churches, facing the new Vincci Baixa Hotel(****). This bright, daylight filled, 6th floor apartment is located in one of the most important streets representative of the emblematic Pombaline architecture in Lisbon. The accommodation comprises one bedroom with a double bed, a living room with dinning and sitting areas, a full bathroom and a fully equipped kitchenette. In the living room there is a double sofa bed and an individual sofa bed. The apartment has WiFi free Internet access and central heating in all rooms. This location offers easy access by foot to the airport buses stop (50m) and subway (Baixa/Chiado or Comércio station-200m). We will welcome you with relevant tourist info.

Apartment located at the heart of charming historical Lisbon, in Rua de São Julião, nearby the monumental Praça do Comércio, where the centre of the Portuguese old empire was located, near the river Tejo (Tagus). A 5 minute walk takes you to the Bairro Alto and Chiado/Santa Catarina. On the other direction you will reach the St George's Castle (Castelo de São Jorge) and the old and straits streets of Alfama. The Lisbon Cathedral (Sé Catedral) and the main squares, like Rossio and Praça da Figueira, are also at a walking distance from the apartment. Other interesting villages outside Lisbon, like Cascais and Sintra, can be easily reached by train because the apartment is close to Cais do Sodré Rail Station (Cascais) and Rossio Rail Station (Sintra). Baixa-Chiado is an elegant district with shops, restaurants, old cafes, theatres, bars, fado restaurants, banks, cash machine, public transportation (subway, normal and tourist buses, electric trams, river boats, 24 hour taxi stands, etc).

  • The rates above are for groups up to 3 persons. Price increases 10 euros for each additional person (applicable to children over 5 years old).
    When staying longer than 15 days a 10% reduction will be applied, 20% when longer than a month.
    A deposit of 25% is required to confirm the reservation. Balance of 75% required to be paid on arrival with the delivery of the keys.
    Check in after 3:30 pm and check out before 11:00 am. Other arrangements possible if no other guests are coming in / going out the same day.
    Extra housekeeping can be arranged.

Pombaline Architecture: The Pombaline Baixa, is the elegant district, primarily constructed after the 1755 Lisbon earthquake. It takes its name from Marquis of Pombal, the Prime Minister of Joseph I of Portugal who took the lead in ordering the rebuilding of Lisbon. The Marquis of Pombal imposed strict conditions on rebuilding the city, and the current grid pattern strongly differs from the organic street plan that characterised the district before the Earthquake. The Pombaline Baixa is one of the first examples of earthquake-resistant construction. The apartments building was completely renewed in 2008 but the old façade was maintained as well as the portal of entry and the old tiles at the entrance.

The apartment is fresh and airy - a pleasure to wake up in, and a retreat to come home to after each day of enjoying Lisbon. Maria has thought of everything and is available to answer questions about what to see and do.

All the key historic sights are nearby - including Praça do Comercio, the cathedral, fado venues - and the tram and bus stops are in easy walking distance.

I'm recommending it to everyone and looking forward to our next visit.

Beautiful apartment, fully equiped, on a perfect location - everything is near-by. The description was all true and more. Excellent for longer staying. Maria is there for all information or advice you need. I'm recomending it to everybody and already plan to come again!
