Montecorto, situated on the edge of the beautiful Grazalema National Park, is one of the 'pueblos blancos' (white villages) which are amongst the prettiest in Spain. The views are spectacular, and in cooler months the area has some of the best walking in Europe.
Just a short drive away is the extraordinary Roman theatre. The Pileta cave with some of Europe's best cave paintings is also nearby. Historic Ronda can be reached in fifteen minutes by car and is one of Spain's most spectacular towns.
To stay in this friendly village is to witness the real Spain, a world away from the crowds and commercialism of the “Costa.” The village has everything for your needs with bars (some of which serve reasonably priced tapas), two small general stores, two bread shops and a fish shop. For eating out there is a restaurant at the edge of the village. There is also a bank and a garage. For summer visits there is lovely swimming pool, just 3 minutes walk from the property.
