I was part of a film crew which took over Villa La Torre's Primo house and Seguito apartment for a month, while sourcing locations for a new US movie set in 15th-century Italy.
I've been in this business 32 years, and have to say this was easily the most beautiful, emotive and spectacular countryside I've witnessed.
Our director (can't say his name but you'll know him!) is a regular visitor to Seguito; he chose the venue especially and the owners didn't let us down.
The renovated house and villa are kept in immaculate condition. Comfortable, fully equipped, and there's a relaxing sense of home in every room. I loved every minute of our stay.

FISHING EXTRAVAGANZA

I went with four friends on a coarse-fishing expedition on Lake Trasimeno. We stayed 21 nights at Villa La Torre's "Seguito" apartment. It's a marvellous secluded holiday home, all mod cons, plenty of storage space for our gear, so convenient for the lake and buying in supplies from Panicale and Panicarola.
Decent English guy in charge of the property always on hand when needed - very well up on local sights and amenities, good advice, helped with language, even knew best fishing pegs!
- Talking of which, we netted 15lb pike and v-v big perch daily.
Days out to Perugia, Florence (Firenze) and Assisi - stunning! - Nearly as good as the fishing!

Magical Days - & Nights!

The website for Villa La Torre's apartment describes this area as magical. We spent four weeks there (extended our intended stay by 10 days!) and have to agree. There's an atmosphere, a feeling, an ambience which we've never experienced anywhere else: to quote the website again - "carefree calm and dreamy peace".
We went with younger friends who went missing for most of every day, saling, cycling and fishing on the big beautiful lake which is just a stone's throw from the apartment door.
The apartment? Comfortable, everything we needed readily available, easy to use. Nice bedrooms. The place has been converted with obvious painstaking care; and the attention we received on arrival and throughout made us feel like VIPs.
Unexpected bonus - the air here is so unpolluted; it's all agriculture and horticulture. There's a delicious quietude. We've never slept so deeply and reinvigoratingly in our lives! - A wonderful place to recharge the batteries.

PEACE, BEAUTY & COMFORT

This was the perfect holiday home for us - two adults; two children (4 and 14). Everything in the "Villa La Torre Seguito" apartment is convenient, impeccably clean, and sensibly thought through.
The large, secure and secluded gardens were just the thing for our older child, while great progress was mad with the younger one's swimming lessons - the private pool was perfect for his confidence.
The surrounding countryside is ... well, no adjectives can describe the sheer visual beauty and spiritual calm we derived from just a simple walk along the utterly gorgeous lake.
One of the property owners was never more than minutes away if we needed help, advice and information. Both before and after, he and Chris couldn't do enough for us.
Whilst the motif of our own holiday was quiet, calm, privacy and relaxation, the opportunity for excitement and adventure - sailing, cycling, horse-riding, and sightseeing in Perugia and Florence - lay just minutes away.
We're so happy to be able to recommend this venue wholeheartedly to anyone who enjoys architecture, history, the peace of unbesmirched nature, great food - and fine wine.
