Estoril holiday apartment: Estoril

We had a really great stay in Estoril and this apartment. It is equipped with nearly everything we needed during our stay. It is also located not far away from the train station and a public accessible beach. A car was useful for us as we were more indepentent to discover areas were public transports are not available, e.g. to discover the west coast, and to drive to the big Auchan supermarket where one can buy cheap and fresh fish. If you are looking for a really great beach the Praia do Guincho will match your expectations.

The apartment is located a few hundred meters away from the sea in a six floor building at the 4th floor. The building has two elevators. There is enough parking space along the street near the apartment. We never had problems to find a place to park.
The apartment itself is exactly as described above. We used the kitchen to cook the fresh fish and therefore really liked the gas stove and the oven a lot. We also really enjoyed the big balcony with the great panoramic view.

During all the time Luis the owner was really helpful and cared a lot about our well-being.

If we have the opportunity we would book the apartment again.

PERFECT...everything was better than the written description. The apartment was clean,well maintained and all furnishings and utensils were good quality items.From the 1st contact with Luis he has given lots of information regarding location etc. He met us at the station which was really nice. Time has been spent compiling a folder with tourist info which was really informative.The view from the apartment is lovely,it is in a nice area. It is approx 10mins or less to walk to the promenade/train station/ Tamariz beach/bars & casino. The portugese are very friendly people and you get lovely hospitality,we love 'YATE' bar near to tourist info centre and 'JONAS' bar which is on the promenade walking towards Monte Estoril.
Take the train to Lisbon it is so easy and cheap,infact all public transport is easy and cheap.
Go to Belem and buy a fresh baked pastry..delicious. Really didnt want to go home and have would go back at the drop of a hat

The apartment matches the description and the photographs capture the great location and view. Finished in great taste and containing all the facilities required for our stay of 2 weeks. Luis, the owner, was even on hand to collect us late at night from the train station and was a great host. Within about 5 minutes walk you have a some great restaurants and the gorgeous beach is only 10 minutes away. We travelled into Lisbon on the excellent (and cheap) train service even late at night and used metro/trams around the city of Lisbon where there's loads to see and do - so no need for a car. Nearby is Caiscais with a wealth of places to eat/drink and 'rent' bikes for free. All in all a superbly located apartment and suitable for sun+cultural+foodie holiday. We didn't want to leave...
