Pretty renovated woodland cottage located on a small holding, where the owners also live close by. Beautiful patio, BBQ, table and four chairs, plenty of parking and gardens to wander around. Spacious living room with rustic fireplace and beams, comfy sofas, TV and DVD player, radio, coffee tables. Dining area, table and four chairs. Modern kitchen, gas cooker with rustic chimney, fridge with freezer, washing machine, and appliances. Double bedroom, wardrobe and bedside tables, electric fan. Twin bedroom, wardrobe and bedside table, electric fan. Bathroom, wet room with radio, wash hand basin, WC, bidet, large mirror, shaver point, towel rail. Brand new cot and wooden high chair, towels included but not for beach use, bedding changed weekly. Disabled access, children and pet friendly. Bike hire available. Beautiful walks and beaches nearby. Fresh eggs and organic vegetable available when in season. Art tuition available as owners are professional artists, all equipment supplied.

Come to Lavender cottage. It is a pretty and quiet destination with all amenities close at hand. It is located in beautiful woodland surrounded by eucalyptus and pine trees and wild lavender. A fifteen minute walk takes you into the lovely old village of Salir do Porto, with quaint bars and a great restaurant. A little further is the very beautiful cove with sandy beaches, rock pools and a monastic ruin with a healing water spring. A short drive takes you to a multitude of Knights Templar castles and Monestaries, cool lakes with lovely beaches and fishing. For the golfer, some of the best courses in Portugal. This is an unusual setting, very quiet with lots of charm and tranquility. You will love your stay.

  • Great bathroom with amazing wet room, the wet room has a seat and four shower options. Overhead shower. Removable conventional shower head. Six back jets and a foot massager, an overhead light, a radio and magnetic doors. The bathroom is tiled throughout in white with traditional border, there is a hand wash basin, a bidet and low flush WC. A huge inset mirror commands one wall, and there is a socket for shaver or hair drier, also a towel rail. There are spot lights on the ceiling, and a pine door with lock and key.

There is an electric cooling fan for those warm nights. The Double window looks out over the patio to the eucalyptus woodland and beyond. The twin bedroom is also a lovely light and airy room, painted white with two single pine beds, very spacious with pine open double wardrobe, a bedside table and lamp and a ceiling light and ample sockets. There is also an electric cooling fan, and the window looks out over a lawned garden and ancient stone out buildings.

Notes: Lavender cottage has been converted from an old stone stable and the whole place is full of character. Our facilities consist of peaceful relaxation, although,bike hire is available for woodland rides etc and structured walks, long or short through stunning scenery for the more energetic. The owners are both artists and can give art tuition to beginners or accomplished artists alike. All paints and canvasses etc can be supplied.
