Photos and Description of this Aix-en-Provence holiday farmhouse 4 Bedroom stone house, sleeps 9, in the countryside of Aix en Provence

The house is a typical Provencal stone farmhouse, parts of which are 250 years old. It has been fully modernised and features a bright, open plan living area leading out to a large garden with a sweeping lawn, mature trees and a 14 x 6 metre pool, looking out to farm fields. There are 4 bedrooms in total plus a children's mezzanine (which sleeps 2 on a fold out sofa). The house is ideal for 2 families (4 adults and 5 children). There are a total of 2 bathrooms,1 shower room, and 3 toilets. The kitchen/pantry has a dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. Other extras include the use of bicycles, a gas BBQ, a baby foot, an indoor exercise spinning bike, wireless internet, and an underfloor cooling system throughout the house. The beds all have good quality mattresses and linens and towels are included. As this is our main home, you will find all that you need, including a warm welcome and plenty of tourist information. You can even help yourself to the vegetable garden!

The house is In an idyllic countryside setting, on the doorstep of Provence's jewel town, Aix en Provence, only 5 kilometres away. Situated in an historic hamlet on an agricultural plateau covered in vineyards, corn and sunflower fields, countryside walks and biking are all possible out the front door. Just 3 kilometres away is the Provencal village of Puyricard with its bustling weekly farmers' market and several bakeries, butchers, tea room, boules square and other shops. The famous St Victoire mountain painted by Cezanne can be reached by car in 15 min. The autoroute quickly whisks you to Mediterranean beaches (30 min), the ancient and now hip city of Marseille (25 min), the Luberon National Park (45 min), St Remy de Provence, Avignon, Arles (all at 45 min) and many other charming villages and wine growing regions in Provence. Easy proximity to Aix gives you a choice of an evening in town or relaxing at 'home' on the terrace with a glass of rosé wine...
