Winter in Les Portes Du Soleil : Though Morgins is not as well known as some of its larger neighbours it shares the benefits of being integrated into one of the largest interconnected ski areas in the world. Being small it is full of authentic Swiss character and charm and has a wonderful cosy and intimate feel, yet within minutes one can be skiing in this vast winter paradise. One could ski for many years in this area and still not ski all the pistes available. There is a huge variety of mountain restaurants and whatever the conditions one can always find somewhere to ski.

Summer activities: We cannot understand why the Alps are not swamped by holidaymakers in the summer (though we are glad they are not!). There is such a huge variety of things to do in an environment that is truly stupendous. The list of activities that one can do frm Morgins is endless. Walking in the mountains is like being on a Sound of Music set with alpine flowers everywhere and the sound of cow bells floating on the breeze. There is mountain biking on a huge scale with many lifts being adapted for bikes. The championship golf courses of Crans sur Sierre and Evian are within an hours drive and that of Montreux 20 minutes. Lac Leman, a mere 20 minutes away has all the facilities for a perfect beach holiday with sailing, windsurfing, steamer trips etc. Other excitements include the unique aerial zipwire 'Fantasticable', the aerial obstacle course at Champoussin, white-water rafting, exploring salt mines and parapenting to name but a few!

Morgins: Being small it is full of authentic Swiss character and charm and has a wonderful cosy and intimate feel. From Chalet Chrysalis you can easily walk everywhere in the village and up our road there are very few cars to disturb the peace and quiet. There are several bars and restaurants in the village and one nightclub. If it is a wild night life you are after then Morgins is not the place to be but what there is is friendly and fun and perfect for a family holiday. There are 2 small supermarkets and a wonderful patisserie. Facilities in the village include indoor and outdoor tennis courts and an outdoor pool which is great fun in hot summer weather. There is an archery course and a 'Devilcart' track- ideal for kids. There is horseback riding in the summer
