This cozy apartment is located just in front of the sea! Fully equipped kitchen, incding dishwasher and washing machine. Living/dining room with SAT/TV and sofa bed. One double bedroom with extra bed available. Bathroom with shower. Terrace with ocean view, perfect for sitting out or dining 'al fresco'. Air conditioning. The apartment has been refurbished with high standard. The apartment is located at about 15 minutes from Fiumicino-da Vinci airport and is at about 5 min. walk from the Metro B station, link to the Rome's centre (about 30 min.). Shop, restaurants, pizzerie and fabulous ice-creams all within walking area. the beach is just in front of the house. Easy parking in the street.

Not far from the center of Rome, Lido di Ostia is considered the Capital's beach and it is also well-known for the 'Tourist Port' with moorings for boats from 8 to 60 metres in length. Every angle of this geographic area makes you relive the sparkle of the past of the Roman coast. There's no time to describe it, it's time to visit it…. Close by are many Roman ruins. Ostia Antica is one of Lazio's major attractions, less crowded and, for some, more enjoyable than those of Pompeii. So if you can't make it down to Pompeii don't worry. Just head out to Ostia.There's a carnival atmosphere, with dance halls, cinemas, and pizzerias. The Lido is set off best at Castelfusano, against a backdrop of pinewoods. The archaeological excavations of the ancient port, the Necropolis Port at the Isola Sacra, the villa of of Plinio and the Medieval Borgo. From the Roman period to the to the architectural freedom of the first years of the nine hundreds and to finish the enormous green areas.

Getting to Ostia: Getting to Ostia is easy via the Roma-Ostia-Lido “trenino” (little train). It’s part of Rome’s metro system.The city's Metro system (www.metroroma.it) has two lines, A (red) and B (blue). Take the Metro to the station “Piramide” (line B), turn left and you will be at the “trenino” station. The metro runs about every 7-10 minutes, from 5:30 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. everyday, except Friday and Saturday when it runs until 01:30 a.m.

Very nice apartment and very pleasant owner to deal with! Directions provided were very accurate and it was really easy to find the property. Apartment itself is very nice, has all modern appliances, spacious balconies and is less than 2 mins away from the seaside. Road outside is busy most of the time - thus a bit of nose is what you'll have to listen to. Supermarket is app 10 mins walk, train station the same. This apartment would suite someone who wants to spend some time near the sea and doesn't want to travel far away from Rome.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Ideal: Rom erleben, am Meer wohnen!

Abends ist es wie nach Hause kommen. Nach einem spannenden Tag in Rom kann man noch einen erholsamen Spaziergang am Meer machen und bei einem Espresso in der Strandbar den nächsten Tag planen. Dabei hat man die Casa San Fiorenza im Blick.
Auf dem ca. 7-minütigen Weg von der Bahnstation Stella Polare haben wir in einem der Lebensmittelgeschäfte (u.a. ein Bioladen) italienische Leckereien eingekauft, die dann in der hervorragend ausgestatteten Küche zubereitet und auf dem Balkon im 2.Stock mit einem Glas Vino rosso genossen werden.
Die Online-Beschreibungen des ausgesprochen gepflegten Feriendomizils sind absolut korrekt und haben unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Dafür haben auch der Vermieter - und die Übersetzerin! - gesorgt. Schon vor Buchung kam es zu einem netten E-Mailaustausch, bei dem alle Fragen freundlich, kompetent und schnell beantwortet wurden. Unkomplizierte, informative Übergabe und eine herzliche Verabschiedung - das i-Tüpfelchen auf einen gelungenen Urlaub! Gerne geben wir die positiven Erfahrungen mit "unserer" Ferienwohnung weiter. Für den Weg nach Rom muss man zwischen 45 Minuten (Kolosseum) und einer guten Stunde (Vatikan) einkalkulieren. Dafür erlebt man in der S-Bahn und den mitunter überfüllten U-Bahnen römische Alltagsatmosphäre pur! Jeder Besucher sollte einen Tag für Ostia Antica einplanen. Wer gut zu Fuß ist kann hinlaufen (sonst 2-3 Stationen mit der Bahn) und wird an den Ausgrabungsstätten der ehemaligen römischen Hafenstadt zweitausend Jahre zurückversetzt. Für uns ein Muss!

Wir haben dort ein sehr nettes, ansprechendes, gut ausgestattetes sauberes Appartement direkt am Meer vorgefunden. Und obwohl zwischen der Wohnung und dem Strand eine viel befahrene Strasse verläuft haben wir es zu keiner Zeit als laut empfunden. Die Flexibilität des Vermieters wissen wir sehr zu schätzen, da Er es uns ermöglicht hat bei unseren langen An- und Abreisezeiten die Wohnung dem entsprechend nutzen zu können (vorzeitige Anreise und spätere Abreise). Wir würden jederzeit die Ferienwohnung wieder buchen und auch unseren Freunden und Bekannten weiterempfehlen.
