  • Payment terms: 50% due on confirmation of booking. You will receive a signed rental contract.
    Fully refundable security deposit of £1100 upon departure.
    Payment for full rental balance is 8 weeks in advance of booking.

    We will accept Pounds/Euros and US dollars. Credit card payments accepted through Paypal and wire transfers drawn on US and UK bank accounts.
  • Rate includes 4 hours cleaning per week (mid week) by our housekeeper (who also irons beautifully). All fees, linens, utilities, wifi, free long distance land and cell numbers to USA and for other major countries - landline numbers only (not cell numbers). Also Free UK local and national landline numbers NOT including UK cell phone numbers and premium rate numbers.

    Our very experienced VRBO property manager is also at the house to show you around on arrival, and to say goodbye on your departure day and help out with any information or service you may require. He has been managing a few properties like ours in the area now for three years very successfully.

Pay as you go cell phone with UK number for your use. £50 ($75.00) worth of groceries can be waiting for you in the American Westinghouse fridge, as per your previously communicated list and organic if desired. You can arrange directly for DVD rental.s. You can do your grocery shopping at Whole Foods Market on nearby Kensington High Street and have it delivered for free to the house. Delivery of groceries and wine ordered online can be got from Ocado, Tesco or Sainsburys which are large supermarkets all with substantial organic sections.

St Marks Park (Kensington Memorial Park): The house backs onto St. Marks Park, so trees, green lawn and blue sky are your view from all the six downstairs windows as well as out of all three bedroom velux windows upstairs. As as of 2008, the park has a fantastic, newly refurbished playground, including a state of the art water feature playground for children. The tennis courts can be reserved by previous arrangement. All this is only about 50 yards from the house. In the busiest summer weeks, with the windows open upstairs and downstairs, one hears the distant noise of people enjoying themselves in the park. The park is always secured and closed at dusk. There is also a supervised drop in playground which operates from 2-4 p.m for preschoolers during the weekdays only. Local Area Attractions: St Marks Road, the street where the house is located, is an 8 minute amble into the heart of vibrant market of Portobello, the worlds largest antiques and silver market which also sells fantastic fruit, vegetables and flowers during the week (barring Thursdays). Golborne Road market is famous for it’s junk shops, Moroccan and Portuguese tea and coffee houses and lively West Indian feel. The whole area is teaming with wonderful European and ethnic restaurants, food stalls, coffee bars and regional bakeries. The markets take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday with Saturday being the main day (for antiques). Designer shopping awaits you on nearby Westbourne Grove & Ledbury Road. We are in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea which comprises Notting Hill, Kensington, Chelsea and Knightsbridge. We are very close to Harrods, the Royal Parks, Oxford Street, (Selfridges) West End Theatre District and Convent Garden, Buckingham Palace and other major attractions and landmarks.
