This peaceful hamlet is approached via a country lane lined with trees and flowering shrubs with a very rustic feel yet Parthenay is only 15 minutes away. The stone-built cottage comprises lounge with open stone fireplace, dining area that can seat 8 comfortably. Recent kitchen and new, professionally-installed bathroom (Porcelanosa), double bedroom with exposed stone and dressing area off, also small single bedroom downstairs with view onto garden. Large, airy double bedroom with additional single bed and further mezzanine area upstairs. Pretty terrace with stone steps leading up to pool (10m x 5m), natural shade provided at the deep end by trees. Large, mature garden full of trees and shrubs including apple, peach, plum and walnut. The house is centrally located for coastal as welll as inland attractions too numerous to list. A selection are Puy du Fou, Futuroscope, Venise Verte and the Marais Poitevin, La Rochelle and Ile de Re, castles of the Loire, troglodyte caves etc

Notes: The only part of the property which is attached is from the far wall of the small barn attached to the main house where the pool equipment is kept ('semi-detached' is somewhat misleading). The house and garden are both very private. The pool is conveniently situated near the house and terrace in the middle of the garden. Large trees provide shade at the deep end where diving is possible. The shallow end is nearest the steps from the terrace.
