Golf:
Adeje Championship golf course with 27 holes is just 2 minutes drive away. This is where the Spanish Open was held in 2003. Also just within a 20 minute drive other courses include Abama, Golf Las Americas, Golf Del Sur, and Amarilla Golf. Further away is the Ballasteros designed Buenavista Golf and finally there is Golf Real near Santa Cruz, one of Spain's oldest courses. There are two golfing seasons in Tenerife:
High season – 1st October 2008 – 30th April 2009. Low season – 1st May 2008 – 30th September 2008. You can book your tee times through the individual web sites. Please contact owner for details. All courses have professionals available for coaching.
Activities:
Casa Madreselva is in the heart of the village 2 minutes from a supermarket and ATM. Regular buses service the county town of Adeje with it's unique Canarian flavour. Just 10 minutes walk away is the magnificent Bahia Del Duque beach, restaurant and shopping area. Underground car parking available. A newly created highly popular seafront walkway of 15km runs from La Caleta to Los Cristianos. The walk brings you past fine hotels, shops, a large marina, and many restaurants and bars. With it's renowned seafood speciality restaurants, tapas bars and others people travel for miles to enjoy La Caleta.
For naturists there are a number of beaches where this is totally accepted.
Para-gliding activities are looked upon as being some of the best. The most popular area is in the mountains just above the villa. In suitable conditions the landing site is on the beach just a couple of minutes from the villa.
Access:
Tenerife South airport is 20 minutes by car. Los Cristianos ferry port is 20 minutes. Ferries leave here for La Gomera. The nearby motorway TF1 gives easy access to the whole island. Hire car is recommended but not essential.
Access the beach by walking just 2 minutes.
Access the seaside bars and restaurants by walking just 2 minutes from the villa.
