Our stay in Budapest

I booked this apartment a few weeks prior to our trip, I was meeting my partner in Budapest so I needed everything sorted prior to arriving. I received a response to my initial enquiry almost immediately. I was a little nervous of booking as I had never been to Budapest before and wasn't sure where the best area to stay would be but the description of this holiday flat sounded perfect as well as the location. I can say that the description was spot on, I don't think I could have found a better location. The flat looked exactly like the pictures on the website. it was spotlessly clean and the facilities were exactly what we required. The only thing that would have been useful was a washing machine, not really a problem for shorter stays but as my partner is doing a cycling trip across Europe he needed to wash his clothes, but as everything else here, conveniently there is a laundry right on the next street where you can take a big bag of washing that is done for you in 2 hours for a small cost. There are many restaurants, cafes, theatres and museums right on your doorstep so no tricky travel arrangements! We visited the thermal spa in City Park (Szechenyi Baths), Buda Castle, The House of Terror Museum, The Opera House, Parliment, and St Stephens Basilica amongst other places - there is so much to see. It was my partners birthday while we were there and i booked the Spoon Cafe which is a boat moored on the Pest side with the most amazing view of Buda Castle, it isn't particularly cheap but the food/wine and cocktails were fantastic - I would highly recommend it,
Overall this was one of the best trips i have taken and that was not only because Budapest is such an amazing city, it had a lot to do with where we stayed. i would highly recommend this flat to anyone, and I would be shocked to hear of any bad reviews. Thank you Opera Deluxe team for a perfect trip.
