Miner’s Cottage is a fully-equipped self-catering holiday cottage. Newly renovated and decorated to a high standard, Miner’s Cottage is a charming granite cottage full of character, combining original features such as low beamed ceilings with contemporary tasteful décor. Ideally suited for two people, it is perfect for a relaxing romantic break. The downstairs accommodation is open plan, comprising a galley kitchen with electric cooker, fridge and microwave. The cosy living/dining area has an open fire and flat screen television with integral DVD player & Sky Sport and Movies channels. The upstairs offers a double room with shower, sink and separate toilet. This well-appointed property adjoins the owner’s home, has parking outside the cottage for one car, there is also a patio area with bistro set and large private garden. Surrounded by many sites of historical interest, Commonmoor is conveniently located near some lovely pubs, plus there is an excellent farm shop nearby offering a wide selection of local produce including meats, wines and ciders. Sibleyback Lake Angling and Watersports Centre less than half a mile away offers a variety of water sports including sailing, windsurfing and trout fishing. The Eden Project, fishing villages of Newquay and Padstow, Plymouth with its historic Barbican and Hoe, plus Torquay and Totnes are but a few nearby areas of interest, making the quaint character cottage a perfect holiday destination for exploring the many attractions of Devon and Cornwall.

It boasts a great golfing heritage with the very best golfing facilities available. It has 36 holes, including the Jack Nicklaus signature course, plus a golf academy, resort shop, leisure facilities, restaurants, bars and an Elemis spa. Charming cozy cottage

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. We found it to have lots of charm, really well equipped and was very tastefully decorated. The kitchen although small, had all that we needed, a small fridge was included though there was a larger fridge/freezer outside in the garden. The highlight was having a large fireplace which made foggy evenings cozy in front of the fire watching a few films on the free sky tv that was also included.
The bedroom was large and confortable with exposed beams on the ceiling which added to the character and charm of the cottage.
We found the owners very warm and welcoming, even though we only booked with a week or so to spare, they were very happy for us to pay on the day. They even called up to check our arrival time and to check that we could find it.
Also we really enjoyed playing with the cats, they knew they weren't allowed in, so they welcomed us every morning and evening.
Overall, a most enjoyable trip and we will definitely recommend this cottage for a romantic getaway. I am sure that couples will not be disappointed.

Miner's cottage is the purfect little cottage to get away from it all. Set in the small village of Commonmoor, its nice and quite but still close enough to many different attractions to make it a great place as a base for your holiday.
The Cottage is nice and cosy for those quite nights in after a day on the moors or exploring coastal towns or just relaxing during the day in the large garden.
The welcolme pack provided by our friendly and helpfull hosts was the best we've had so far, full of local treats from biscuits to cider.
We rearly enjoyed our stay and look forward to going back, hopefully in the near future.

We had a lovely stay at the Miner's Cottage. The cottage was perfect - wonderfully comfortable, cosy, clean and equiped with all you could want for a break, whatever the weather. And Angie and Chris made us feel very welcome.
The cottage is in a great location for walks over Bodmin and exploring Cornwall.
