The Surroundings :
Many sights of the Tuscany are easily reachable from Palareta: Volterra, 15 km away, is an old Etruscan-city, in which you can admire the first archway built by humans, the Etruscan-museum and the Teatro Romano; the old university-city Pisa, famous for its tower, is 75 km away. Siena (at 60 km), San Gimignano (35 km), and of course Florence (80 km) with Michelangelo's David, the Sacred Uffiziens invite to interesting trips. Cecina, Bibbona and San Vincenzo (approx. 30-35km away) are very attractive because of their long sandy beaches, shops and restaurants.
The Azienda Agricola Podere Palareta :
Palareta is an organic farm: The main acquisition of the farm is our activity with the horses, the large garden, olive- and fruit trees provide our guests and us with fresh vegetables and fruits. On inquiry, you can have a Tuscan meal with us. We cook as much as possible with our own organic products, or the products of the area. We are an Italian-German family and speak fluently German, Italian and English. If you are interested in the Tuscan kitchen, you can of course take a glance in our saucepans and help us with the preservation if you would like.
The Riding Association Palareta:
Is there anything more beautiful than experiencing the Tuscan landscape on horse-back?
The Riding Association Palareta offers riding lessons for small groups or private lessons for beginners and advanced riders, rides through the beautiful surroundings of Palareta and trekking camps for one or more days. Furthermore, we provide Cavalgiocare® riding camps for children and stables for guest horses. The Riding Association Palareta is a member of the U.I.S.P. – Lega Equitazione and all services and lessons are offered by qualified staff. Our mission is to encourage, strengthen and refine the communication between horse and rider, to recognize the needs of the horse and to teach how to ride in harmony with the horse.
