THE SURROUNDINGS:
The Bed & Breakfast “Busa dell’Oro” is in Tramonte di Teolo (PD) on the eastern side of the Euganean Hills. The position favours naturalistic walks, cultural itineraries with cities of art so close by, and tourist destinations to the spa centres of Abano and Montegrotto Terme.
PADUA AND VENICE:
Padua is 15 km from the farm. A town of great cultural and artistic tradition, rich in important monuments, such as Saint Anthony Church, the Bò, the Scrovegni Chapel and Café Pedrocchi
Venice is only 40 km away; it is the most well-known city of art whose beauty will make your holiday unforgettable.
VICENZA AND VERONA:
Vicenza is 30 km away. The city is part of the “World Heritage List” of UNESCO. It is known for the Olympic theatre, and the villas in the countryside built by PALLADIO, one of the most celebrated architects in the world.
Verona: It is more or less one hour by car from the farm. It is the city of the Roman Arena, the largest Opera theatre in the world. It is also the city of ROMEO and JULIET, the unforgettable characters of SHAKESPEARE’s play. In Verona, there is also one the most important historical gardens of the Italian Renaissance : the “GIARDINO GIUSTI”. It is the ideal city for romantic walks and pleasant stops in wonderful squares. LAKE GARDA is at an easy reach.
Golf:
GOLF CLUB PADUA : The oldest golf course in Padua was born in 1962 thanks to the initiative of Commendatore Igino Kofler and a group of passionate golf players from Padua, it was named Golf Club Euganeo. The 18 holes par 72 were designed by the British Architect John Harris of the Design Studio Cotton in London. They lie at the foot of the Euganean Hills and convey harmony of technique and scenery at the very first sight. In the last twenty years they have housed the main Championships and Opens of the nation, confirming their competitiveness. Besides Commendatore Kofler, a great contribution was brought by another historic President, Benedetto Sgaravatti.In recent time, with the precidency of Ascanio Calvi di Bergolo, the Golf Club Padova has reached a large number of members (about 780) and ranks constantly among the best twenty Italian golf courses. Starting from March 2003 the Club has 9 additional holes par 36, with very valid technical features, which permit a winning variation of the traditional courses. The Golf Club Padova has accommodation facilities such as the swimming pool, the sauna and the gym. The restaurant deserves a specific mention, as it is well-known in the region and in the national golf survey.
