The bay of Sao Martinho do Porto is a safe haven for swimming, windsurfing, sailing, canoeing and various other watersports. The protected surrounding countryside of Jurassic cliffs, pine & eucalyptus forest are perfect for walking and cycling in and enjoying nature in general. The town of itself is picturesque, quaint and peaceful except in the height of season during the summer months when the small seaside town come alive with tourists from all around Europe.
