Pianello :
Pianello is between Musso and Cremia . It is a nice little Village- You can walk on the strand promenade or you can visit the museum embark.
Surroundings-Trips:
In the vicinity: Villa Carlotta, Villa Balbainello and Palazzi Brentano. They all have beautiful gardens. Due to the mild climate and the wonderful surroundings you'll spend very special holidays in this region. There is the possibility to rent or use your personal boat (necessary facilities for both vessels and trailers available) to join organized tours on the lake. The complete lake area (Lake Como, Lake Lugano, Lake Maggiore) is easy to visit. Como is less than 40 km distance (via a breathtaking coastal drive). Milan is 80 km away. The region is ideal, also for winter sports and day trips to Milan (via train). The train makes it easier to enjoy shopping in Milan, without the difficulties of traffic or trying to locate a parking place. With the public boat transports, you may quickly visit Bellagio and the other lakeshore.
Musso:
Musso is a small village on the northern shore of Lake Como. Menággio is 13 km to the south, Gravedona, 5km to the north. This tiny village center is nestled under the towering cliffs. Beautiful and peaceful living areas are located on the cliffs. A small mountain road leads up into the Alpine regions, above the tree line, to a rustical tavern. Pianello Lario, with its many districts, is directly south of Musso. The communities seem to be almost intertwined. In Calozzo, there are surfing and sailing opportunities at the pebble beach. A hike to Alpe Nalcim (1202 m), with a stop at the “Vai dei Monti Lariani”, a beautiful trekking tour around Lake Como, is highly recommended. Thanks to a bypass tunnel, there is no through traffic in Musso and Pianello. They are introspective and genuine, surrounded by lush, natural environment. There is a quaint lake promenade for a stroll.
Ski:
Skiing can be a passion or can be a day out. If you feel like an early start, then you could drive up to St. Moritz in a bit more then an hour, or go to top-resorts like Madesimo or Bormio for a good ski or spa-day.
