Luxury apartment for 2 guests in Menaggio with pool and a fantastic lake view. 'Bellavista' is just above the 'free' accessible pool. It is on the first and last floor and has a private garage. A tastefully decorated bathroom, double bedroom, living and dining room, with a fire-place and all the luxury you want for your stay in Menaggio. Both the bedroom and the living room connect to a very sunny terrace with a table and 4 chairs. The view from the terrace is breathtaking; you overlook Menaggio, Varenna and Bellaggio (the golden triangle) with a superb 180 degree view of the lake and the mountains. The apartment is Southeast facing, so has the sun everyday. The apartment would easily accommodate a family, but we prefer to offer it as a romantic/luxury apartment for 2 people. You can walk down to the centre of Menaggio in 5 minutes and to the ferry terminal where you can take the ferry to Varenna or Bellaggio (two of the most beautiful villages on the lake) Menaggio is more lively.

Menaggio is a bustling village with a lot of character and is one of the more lively resorts along the lake. It stands at the junction of a valley leading west to Lugano in Switzerland, approx. 25 km away. But below is the lovely main Piazza Garibibaldi and surrounding alleyways. Menaggio is well kept, attractive and has a fine view east across the lake to Bellagio and Varenna. It also sees more of a mix of visitors than many of it's neighbours, with a reputation for sports and activities - famous for golf, hiking and cycling in the mountains as well as swimming and sunbathing on it's beach. Eating out in Menaggio is good value for money with great food at very reasonable prices. Menaggio enjoys the sun all day and it's inhabitants are friendly and helpful.

  • The service charge is 70 Euro for one week and 90 Euro for two weeks, this charge is inclusive of bed linen & towels, gas, electricity,water & air-conditioning (if installed in the holiday property).
    Tea towels & Beach towels are not supplied.
    If your booking is for more than one week, clean linen & towels will be provided on a weekly basis.
    The final cleaning is offered free of charge

  • There are no additional charges for credit or debit card payments. However, all bank transfer fees are the responsibility of the sender. More about the position: The apartment offers a very quiet atmosphere, with no traffic noise. The swimming pool is just 5 m down below from the apartment. Walking into Mennagio town and the lake front couldn't be easier, only 300 m or a 5 minute walk. The supermarket & shops are only 2 minutes away by car, where you can buy fresh bread & croissants. There are reasonably priced local restaurants serving good homemade food. If you would like any further information about Menaggio and the surrounding area, please let us know.

Hiking, mountain biking, trips & shopping: The Italian Lakes are a little slice of paradise. Elegant ribbons of blue water stretch out ahead, folded into the sun-baked foothills, with a spectacular back drop of the snow-capped Alps. Warming, inspiring and graced with natural beauty, the lakes are still a place to draw breath and wonder. Lake Como, lies north-south, ringed by characteristic old villages wedged onto narrow beaches between rugged cliffs and water. Those classic lake images of flower strewn balconies, Barogue gardens and splendid waterside villas can be found here in abundance. Dotted around and between the lakes are some of Italy's finest art cities, such as Milan, Verona & Bergamo. The most romantic and picturesque villages on the lake are Santa Maria Rezzonico, Varenna (15 min by ferry) & Bellagio (8 min by ferry), Lenno (visit Villa Balbianello, location for 007's Casino Royale as well as Villa Gaeta, right here in Menaggio) & Laglio (where George Clooney owns Villa Oleandra).

Pre and Post season and winter on Lake Como: The area is also very beautiful in low/pre-season and the weather is constant. Everything is open as in summer, great for trips and relaxing in the sun with spectacular views. This year there have been 4/5 days of rain from September through to January and 90% of sun. You do not have to go far to get some sun in winter and to have a relaxing time, enjoy great food and meet friendly people.

Ski: Skiing can be a passion or can be a day out. If you feel like an early start, then you could drive up to St. Moritz in a bit more then an hour, or go to top-resorts like Madesimo or Bormio for a good ski or spa-day.

We both love it, and have actually been here 2 years in a row. One of the only apartments we found to have everything ticking the right boxes. Swimming pool, terrace, views and close to Menaggio. We spend a lot of time in Menaggio so it is important for us to be in close proximity. We tend to walk down the path which takes 10 mins. I wouldn’t recommend taking your luggage on the footpath as it isn’t a smooth concrete path or take a taxi with luggage!

My husband and I decided to take a short vacation to Lake Como for 1 week. At first we were nervous, coming from the USA and it was our first time away in a self catering apartment, however when we arrived at Bellavista, we were delighted with the standard of accommodation and the cleanliness. We especially loved the private terrace to play out on, and the stunning swimming pool, with views down onto Menaggio. Some days we left our car at the apartment and wondered down to the centre through the footpath. Here we found restuarants, shops and a Lido!! We had everything on our doorstep, and we are talking about coming back to this apartment again next year. We all loved it!!!

Dear All

We had a fabulous time. The apartment was of an extremely high standard and the views were just stunning, I only wish we could have stayed longer.

The description of the location and property detail were very accurate and we enjoyed the short walk in and out of Menaggio, it also gave us a good excuse to eat a little bit more!

I would have no hesitation of returning in the future or of recommending the property or your company to friends and family, everyone I dealt with was friendly and very helpful.

The area around Menaggio was lovely, and we enjoyed many trips on the boats and ferries around the lake. We would recommend visiting Verena but if you wish to go up and see the castle don't do it if heavy rain is forecast. We walked all the way up there only to be told it was closing due to the rain, but we still enjoyed ourselves having a leisurely lunch watching the rain over the lake. The only other slightly cautioning note would be not to go to Lugano, it was very expensive and dissappointing, visit Como instead, a much prettier city.

Although we hired a car we didn't use it once during our stay, public transport and the boats were more than adequate and I would recommend that if anyone hires a car they leave it in the garage until its time to leave!

We just loved Menaggio, the lake, the apartment, the weather, the food, the people...............I could go on!
