Mezzegra:
Tremezzo is located directly in the middle of the famous West coast of Lake Como, where for centuries, the noble European families have been known to have vacationed in their summer residences. Mezzegra is a lovely village, with romantic access to the lake. It is located 5 km from Menaggio and is famous for the Villa Carlotta, constructed in 1750. The Villa has been turned into a museum with a botanical garden. To travel to Lenno, is a mere 2km. Bellaggio and Varenna are only a short ferry ride away.
Low and off-season:
In the low and off-season, even in the winter, this region is beautiful. There are fewer tourists, but there are still many attractions. The weather tends to remain stable and mild. This region is fantastic for relaxing, without having to travel long distances. Even in the winter season, we have sunny days, 90% of the time. Enjoy them! The Villa Carlotta is always beautiful and the sea adds a special romantic touch in the low and off-season.

Take the time to visit the beautiful historic buildings and botanical gardens around Lake Como - such as Villa Carlotta, extremely photogenic, featuring romantic statuary and lush gardens; Villa Ballbianello, a film location recently seen in Casino Royale, the latest James Bond movie. Italian National Trust property since 1988, the villa hosts a great collection of art, antique furniture & carpets. The gardens are also delightful and are open to visitors. In Varenna, a short ferry ride from Menaggio are two more stunning properties, Villa Monastero and Villa Cipressi - both have beautiful gardens that are open to the public between April - October. In Bellagio you can be taken on guided tours around Villa Serbelloni, a property owned by the Rockefella Foundation since 1959. The lakes of Como & Lugano offer the most scenic spots in all of Italy. Ferries carry passengers across there shimmering waters from town to town one of the main attractions of visiting the Lake.
