Local Golf Information: Over 4 centuries the Royal Blackheath course has evolved and grown from a 5-hole, gravel-pitted heathland to a relocated, remodelled and resplendent 110 acres of landscaped parkland of immense natural beauty. Including, of course, its fair share of heart-stopping hedges, humps and signature bunkers. Today, the course enjoys all the merits of parkland golf, in the shape of old, seasoned turf which produces excellent fairways and smooth, true greens. It has been shrewdly landscaped and planted with trees. The wide variety and beauty of these, often ancient trees is very much a feature of the course. It's hard to believe you're just nine miles from the City of London. The holes are sound and of a good length, the course having been very much improved since it was remodelled by James Braid, five-time Open Champion

The most memorable characteristic of the current Blackheath course is the strength of its start and finish. We believe that the first four holes are as challenging a start to a round of golf as can be found anywhere, including the courses on the Open Championship rota. We found this property to be ideal for our family of 5. Quiet leafy location, very short walk to train station for 15-20 minute trip to London city centre. Fantastic service picked up at airport by Carl and taken direct to property. The local knowledge we got from Carl was great, from taking us to the local shopping center for supplies for the week, to information about trian timetables and locations to check out and little tips and help that made our stay a lot more relaxing. Thankyou Carl and Anne-Marie for letting us stay at your Property, from the Nielsen's South Coast, New South Wales, Australia.

Great place to stay for a London holiday

This is a very comfortable house with quick and easy access to London. The hosts Anne-Marie and Carl have kept the palce to good standard and are very helpful. As a bonus it is located in a quiet and picturesque area with good walks around. It is fairly spacious and can easily accomodate 6 without each other bumping into one another. I would certainly recommend this property.

Beautiful house ideal for families with children

Our family (two adults and four children, ages 6-12) enjoyed our stay in this very cosy maisonette. The accommodation was as described. It was clean and comfortable with plenty of fresh towels. The surroundings are beautiful and it was very peaceful and safe for my children to play outside on the grass. It was only a short walk away from the train station. Ann Marie and Carl and their lovely children made us feel right at home and were very helpful. We would highly recommend this accommodation.

Im Grünen und doch schnell im Zentrum

Wir verbrachen mit 5 Personen 9 Nächte in der Wohnung. Sie war wie beschrieben, sauber und es fehlte an nichts. Handtücher sind in ausreichender Menge vorhanden. Sehr kinderfreundliche Wohnung, es ist auch ein wenig Spielzeug vorhanden und Kinder können draußen spielen. Zur Bahnstation Mottingham sind es 4 Minuten zu Fuß und von dort gelangt man in 17 Minuten zur London Bridge. Der Golfplatz ist um die Ecke und auch Eltham Palace ist gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Die Vermieter Carel und Annemarie sind sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert.
