Armistead Place is a perfect year round holiday destination 40 minutes from the Lake District with Kendal, Keswick, Windermere and Bowness - with the beautiful lakes Windermere and Lake Consiston. There are many attractions -the famous Settle to Carlisle Railway, Gisburn Forest, Whitescar Caves in Ingleton, and Waterfall Walk. Malham Tarn and Cove, Skipton Market Town is 30 minutes away. There are many castles to explore - Skipton, Castle Bolton and Richmond Castle out towards Hawes which is a wonderful scenic drive. Hawes has many attractions being famous for its Wensleydale Cheese. Horse riding at Kilnsey, best way to see the fantastic scenery on the top of very safe ponies. Explore the Dales by bike with self guided day rides, mountain bike hire, unique bike rail trips, Guided off-road trail rides; MTB Training Courses and cycle spares and repairs (offtherails.org.uk) local Setttle firm. The famous 3 Peak Mountains are literally just a couple of miles away; caving, climbing, cycling, golf clubs x 3 one within walking distance, horse riding at Kilnsey, the famous Malham Cove with fantastic walking and views. The Lake District is a 40 minute drive. Morecome Bay 40 minutes, Blackpool and Lytham St Annes 1 hour away for the famous Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Harrogate Spa Town is a 40 minute drive; plus Ilkley. There is so much to do around here there are a wealth of interesting places to visit and a wealth of things to do.
