Families:
It is often said if the children are well catered for then the adults will enjoy the holiday all the more. As a mother with two small children I purchased the property because it is ideal for children. An end villa with no passing traffic and close but not immediatly onto the pool makes for a safer environment. One of the most important elements for a great holiday with children I have found is the pool. The complex pool is really very nice. It is divided into baby/toddler and child/adult areas. It has several permanently fixed sunshades overlooking the pool. The area surrounding the pool has the feeling of a village green and even encompasses a chldren's play area complete with swings, climbing apparatus and slide all safely encased with rubber matting. Also on the complex is the bonalba spa area with the obvious attractions for adults it also contains a tropical themed indoor and outdoor swimming area with water slide, jacuzzi and pool bar. A creche is also situated here.
Tennis, bowing & paddle:
Bonalba spa & golf caters for far more than the name alone suggests. Bonalba is a constantly evolving environment and most recently has invested in a sports area which provides for bowling, tennis & paddle. There are group sessions for adults and children together with individual tuition available. The added benefit is that these facilties are just 500m away.
Beaches, eating out and attractions:
There are many beaches in the area but the closest ones are El Campello and San Juan. Further afield are the beaches at Alicante and Benidorm our favourate both for proximity (10 mins by car) and amenities is El Campello. There are numerous restaurants and cafes overlookng the promenade and beach. On the Bonalba resort there are a number of restaurants, cafes/bars including an italian takeaway. The Guiness bar does a fabulous Gin & Tonic. Alicante has an array of traditional and contempory eateries and bars/nightlife, It also offers great shopping, a beautiful harbour, historical and museums interests. Benidorm (25 mins by car) Terra Mitica theme park, Aqualandia water park and many other attractions abound.
Golf:
Bonalba golf at 6,367m is a magnificent 18 hole, par 72 course. Nestling in the foothills of the Sierra de Bonalba it overlooks the medditteranean and has stunning scenery. A variety of trees, bunkers and lakes which togeter with the large fast greens provide a challenge for players of all handicaps. Facillities include a large driving range encompassing bunker practice greens and a pitch and put area. There is an academy with qualified professional instruction available. The excellent club house has resturant, bar, changing rooms and pro shop. Hire of buggy's, trolleys and clubs are catered for. There are plenty of other interesting golf clubs near by including Alicante Golf 18 hole par 72, El Plantio 18 hole par 72 and Alenda Golf 18 hole par 72.
