The Hamlet a small 16th century village situated on the hills of Lucca inside the natural reserve park of the Apuan Alps. Completely restructured with a great deal of attention paid to the details and materials used in order to maintain its original structure. Today the village has been converted into a charming hamlet that consists of 24 dwellings each one different from one another. Original stone walls, bent tile roofs and brick loggias and porticoes have all been restored to their natural beauty - the same as four centuries ago. Interiors are welcoming and offer all modern comforts such as central heating, telephone and satellite TV, fully equipped kitchens and bathrooms, tiled floors and solid wood furnishings. The Hamlet offers its guests a range of facilities: swimming pool with Jacuzzi, tennis court, bar and internal restaurant.

The 1 bedroom accommodation can be divided on or more floors or all on same level. Some of which have sofa beds that can accommodate 2 additional guests. Alternatively, there are suites or studio apartments. At The Hamlet every attention has been given to ensure the majority of the accommodation has a private garden or terrace, equipped with garden/patio furniture, in order to give its guests the possibility to enjoy the outdoor life or simply dine/relax al fresco. Accommodation which does not have a private garden or terrace can however enjoy the centralised outdoor facilities. Guests at The Hamlet have the possibility of choosing from self catering or hotel formula holiday solutions. The hotel formula in addition to offering all the usual holiday rental services (i.e. linen, bath towels, utility consumptions, weekly linen change & final cleaning, etc) also includes breakfast.

The Hamlet is situated on the Lucca hills inside the nature reserve park of the Apuan Alps. Only fifteen minutes from the lively Lucca centre, also known as Puccini's Lucca. A city of ancient traditions that has never lost its spirit of independence with its 4.2 km's of renaissance walls still intact that surrounds the historical city centre. Places such as; Florence, Pisa, Garfagnana with a range of small country towns of notable interest are easily accessible from here. A must for opera lovers and all that is related to Puccini - Celle, Torre del Lago at Massaciuccoli where the yearly Open Air Summer Festival is held. Various attractions can be visited with daily excursions (organised or independent) in the nature reserve park(s). A visit to the Northern Tuscan beaches (Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi, Pietrasanta, etc..) are only 35/40 km's away. Collodi Park home to Pinocchio - a favourite with children or why not a visit to Abetone mountains - an important local alpine ski area.
