This recently refurbished 2 bedroom apartment is situated on the sixth floor of a nine storey apartment block on the sea promenade offering a panoramic view over Wenduine's large sandy beach and the North Sea. Wenduine is a well established family resort situated between the grandious town of De Haan and the more lively Blankenberge. The apartment is clean and bright and is ideal for up to 4 people with a queen size double bed in the main bedroom, a large bunk bed in the second bedroom and a new large sofa bed in the lounge. A TV with many European channels is provided along with 4 comfortable dining chairs and a table. There is also a new fitted kitchen and the bathroom has also been fully refurbished with a modern white tiled shower unit. An ideal place to stay for everyone who wants to enjoy a self contained beach holiday with easy access to the culturally rich attractions of Bruges and the Belgium coast....all year round!

Wenduine is a well established family resort situated between the grandious town of De Haan and the more lively Blankenberge. It is centrally located on the Belgium coast only 80 mins driving time from Calais and the channel tunnel and also only 20 mins driving time from Ostend (15% discount on ferry crossings from Ramsgate available). The fast 'kust' tram that stops outside the door provides easy access to the whole of the Belgium coast from De Panne in the south to Knokke in the North and the famous picturesque city of Bruges can be reached in 30 mins by a direct bus. The railway station in nearby Blankenberge provides fast access to Brussels, Ghent and the other major cities in Belgium.

Die Wohnung liegt am Rande der Promenade und befindet sich im sechsten Stock eines acht Parteienhauses. Auf jedem Stockwerk befindet sich nur eine Wohneinheit. Ein Aufzug ist vorhanden. Der Ausblick vom vorderen Balkon, die Wohnung verfügt über drei Balkone, ist ein absoluter Traum! Wir haben jede Nacht auf der sehr bequemen Schlafcouch im Wohnzimmer geschlafen und so jeden Abend den Sonnenuntergang genossen. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und komplett eingerichtet. Selbst Dosenöffner, Korkenzieher und Gemüseschäler sind vorhanden. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber. Der Eigentümer sowie die zuständige Verwaltung sind sehr nett und sprechen sehr gut deutsch.
Wenduine ist sehr familienfreundlich und besonders für Familien mit Kindern bis zum Teenageralter zu empfehlen. Direkt vor der Tür befindet sich ein kleines Hallenbad, ein Fahrzeugverleih, ein Kinderkarussell, div. Geschäfte und Restaurants. Ein Auto wird in Wenduine selbst nicht benötigt. Alle Geschäfte sind in wenigen Gehminuten zu erreichen.
Blankeberge, Ostende und Newport sind in wenigen Minuten mit der Bahn oder dem Auto zu erreichen. Bis Frankreich sind es ca. 80 Km.
Der Strand ist feinsandig. Liegen können gemietet werden. Jedoch kann man auch sehr gut mit Handtüchern auf dem Sand liegen oder man nutzt die zwei in der Wohnung befindlichen Klappstühle für den Strand.
Für die Sicherheit beim Baden sorgen Rettungsschwimmer. Diese sind zahlreich vorhanden und passen sehr gut auf.
Das Meer wird nur langsam tiefer und ist auch für Nichtschwimmer bestens geeignet.
Der Strand ist sehr sauber. Überwiegend befinden sich einheimische Urlauber vor Ort. Die meisten ausländischen Touristen kommen aus Frankreich. Weiterhin befinden sich einige Niederländer, Engländer und Deutsche im Ort. Ein paar Kilometer weiter findet man wesentlich mehr deutsche Autos.
Die Preise sind wie in einem deutschen Ferienort, jedoch sind der Fischladen sowie die Konditoreien recht günstig. Ein Aldi befindet sich im 4 Km entfernten Blankenberge.
Auch bei schlechtem Wetter befinden sich zahlreiche Museen, Schwimmbäder und Freizeitparks in gut erreichbarer Nähe.
Für uns war Wenduine ein absoluter Familien-Traumurlaub. Unsere Kinder (5/3) haben sich sehr wohl gefühlt. Alle Urlauber waren sehr nett, Auseinandersetzungen oder Streitereien haben wir vor Ort nicht erlebt. Kinder können sich frei bewegen und sind überall gerne gesehen. Das Leben auf der Promenade beginnt um 10 Uhr und endet zwischen 22-23 Uhr.
