Javea:
Javea can be divided into three main areas, The Arenal, The Port The Old Town
The Arenal is where you will find the sandy beaches*the arenal beach has been awarded the blue flag status. There is something for everybody here from, swings, climbing frames, and slides for the children, volley ball nets and water sports for the energetic, to lazing in a sun bed or strolling along the promenade for those who just want rest and relaxation. On a summer evening you can search out a bargain at the many craft stalls along the promenade or relax in one of the many bars and restaurants and watch the world go by.
The port area is bustling with life and has many facilities ranging from bars, restaurants, cafes and shops to the typical things a busy fishing port should offer.
The Old Town retains a historic centre, characterized by narrow streets and gothic buildings built from the local stone. It is a typically Spanish pueblo with many shops bars and restaurants.
Denia:
Denia is a lively old historic town with its castle, port, fish market and many shops. Sandy beaches abound as do rocky spots ideal for snorkelling. Many Fiestas take place throughout the year both in Denia and in many nearby villages. There are some spectacular parades and firework display not to be missed.
Denia is surrounded by orange groves and looks longingly out to a crystal clear blue sea, it sits on the shore of a special stretch of the Mediterranean. Palm trees line the promenades, terraces adorn the seafront, the port and beaches beckon to be discovered and the awesome Montgó mountain rises majestically behind the town.
Stroll along the Calle Marqués de Campo, the hub of Denia town life and trade, lined with authentic bars, restaurants, boutiques and pavement cafes.
This remains first and foremost a Spanish working town where the locals will always out number the tourists and fishing boats abound in the harbour.
