Recently refurbished 2 bedroom cottage, suitable for families, in convenient central location for local amenities plus easy access to the coast. Upstairs has 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin with option for additional futon) which together can sleep 4/5 plus space for travel cot in either room. There is also a separate new bathroom containing bath (with hand held shower), sink and toilet. Downstairs has spacious open plan lounge and dining room with large table which comfortably seats 6 (highchair available). The lounge looks out onto quiet pedestrian lane with views of countryside beyond. There is a courtyard garden with dining table and chairs (seats 6) and space for children to play. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer and full oven and hob. Although located on a quiet lane, the property is only 2 mins walk from the centre of Bridport with Waitrose, market square, arts centre, independent shops, cafes, restaurants and cinema.

Bridport lies just over a mile inland from the coast at West Bay where the River Brit flows out to the sea. It nestles among the hills of West Dorset and is a Gateway Town giving access to the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site, and its varied beaches at Burton Bradstock, Charmouth, Lyme Regis, Chesil and Weymouth. Bridport is a Beacon Town in recognition of the quality and diversity of its local produce and many local producers trade at the Farmers Market in the Arts Centre on the second Saturday of the month and also trade on the Wednesday and Saturday street markets. There are also a number of award winning restaurants in the local area including The Bull Hotel within Bridport and The Hive Beach Cafe at Burton Bradstock. Bridport also has a strong artistic and literary community holding an Open Studios weekend at the end of August and also the May Dorset Arts Week which showcases the work of many artists who have their studios in the town.

  • Weekend breaks are for a minimum of 2 nights including Saturday and Sunday nights.
    Midweek breaks are for a minimum of 3 nights during Monday- Friday (inclusive).

    A 20% deposit, payable by personal cheque, will be required on booking to confirm your reservation. Balance payable 8 weeks before rental period. An additional £50 returnable deposit will also be payable at time of booking to cover for any damage/breakages during the rental period.

Notes: The property is located along a quiet pedestrianised lane and parking is available 20 metres away in a pay and display car park that backs onto the Tourist Information office. Parking permits can be obtained from the Tourist Information office for 3 - 7 days costing between £8.40 & £19.60 (2009 prices). Permits also allow free parking in many local car parks within West Bay, Charmouth & Lyme Regis. Free off-street parking is also sometimes available at the end of the lane. Local supermarkets (Waitrose & Morrisons) only minutes away by foot - Waitrose offer delivery service. Tesco online groceries also delivered to this address. Cleaning will be done prior to arrival but cleaning products are provided if required. Linen and towels not provided.
