Bright modern one bedroom apartment in the centre of Bordeaux , close to all amenities and the historical heart of the city. Ideal as a base for exploring the city which has been designated a world heritage site, the coast and the wine regions around Bordeaux. There is one bedroom with a king size bed and a double sofa bed in the living room. There is a fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher and washer/dryer. There is a dining table and chairs seating four. The bathroom has a full bath with a shower over the bath. The apartment is very comfortable and convenient for all the major sights. There is a large supermarket just across the road in the Meriadeck Centre. There are wonderful restaurants close by and the wine regions can be explored by car (we have an underground parking space) or by guided tours from the tourist office. Bordeaux is also a lovely city just to stroll around or sit at a cafe table and watch the world go by.

The property is situated in a quiet street, Rue du chateau d'eau, in the Meriadeck area of Bordeaux. This is a shopping area and the apartment building is just across the street from the Meridaeck shopping centre, Meriadeck Passages is a collection of shops on the ground floor of the apartment building. The shopping centre has a major supermarket where you will be able to find everything you need for your self catering stay, along with a boulangerie and many boutiques including H&M and zara. A short two minute walk brings you to Place Gambetta which is the major square in Bordeaux and at the apex of the 'Golden Triange' which are the streets which run from here to Place de La Comedie where the Grand Theatre is situated. You are also near the Cathedral St Andre and a few minutes will take you to Rue St Catherine and on to Place de La Bourse on the banks of the Garonne, ideal for an evening stroll. The vineyards are all around the city and the Atlantic coast is about 50 min drive
