Consists of lounge/dining room, separate fully fitted kitchen with oven, halogen hob, fridge and dishwasher. Bedroom 1 with king size and Bedroom 2 with two singles and both having lovely views over the valley.Travel cot available. Bathroom with wc, sink and shower cubicle with large chrome towel curved radiator.

Ilkley became famous in the 1800's as a fashionable spa town boasting many Hydro Establishments where the well to do including Charles Darwin came to partake of the therapeutic waters and whilst here he wrote his famous book 'on the origin of species' and indeed still a relic from the past is 'White Wells' on the Moor (can be seen from the apartment) where the poorer were allowed to be treated. Ilkley also boasts many numerous shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs including the Cow & Calf Inn which is reached by taking the scenic moor road with views that are second to none. There is also the famous Betty's Cafe along the Grove now celebrating it's 90th year in 2009 which is a must for afternoon tea. It is also ideal for touring the Yorkshire Dales historic market towns of Skipton and York with it's many attractions and not forgetting Leeds which is now the second most important City next to London and being only 30 mins by train - Ilkley Station is only 500 yards away!

  • The apartment is very well equipped with good quality furnishings and offers a high standard of comfort and cleanliness
  • Directions to property: Turn off the A65 (Crescent Hotel) on left and proceed straight up Brook Street to the top of the road. Dacre, Son & Hartley (Estate Agents) will be facing you, proceed up the road (Wells Road) to the left of Dacres. Go straight up to the top until you see the cattle grid and turn left up Crossbeck Road. The property is on the right after approximately 200 yards.

Ilkley is a delightful little town. The apartment is very tastefully decorated, well equipped, spotless and is easily spacious enough for four. The view of the moor from the living room window is magnificent, and never twice the same. The moor is excellent for walking and rock climbing alike. In one afternoon I managed to spot a kestrel, moor hen, squirrels and some rabbits. The owners are very pleasant and are at hand to answer any queries. Our visit was most enjoyable, the only regret being that we couldn't stay longer.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
