The villa consists of two houses around a private courtyard shaded by vines. The larger house has 3 double-bedrooms, 2 en suite, a family bathroom and a living room/kitchen/dining room. The smaller house has one en suite double-bedroom and a living room/kitchen/dining room Both houses have cookers, washing machines, dishwashers and fridges. Satellite TV is available with a wide range of English and other language channels. Each house is on two floors, reached by outside staircases. On the third level are two large patios overlooking the mountains, a brick barbecue, and a large pool - 11 meters by 4 meters! The property is situated in a Moorish white village - with visiting tradesmen and three bars, but no shops! However, a hypermarket is only 20 min away along the nearby road to Granada. The local housekeeper can provide delicious paella and other local dishes upon request. Parking is nearby but steps are required to reach the house. Unsuitable for those with walking difficultie

Conchar is a Moorish white village in a small valley, amid mountains and orchards, a few minutes off the main road between the Costa Tropical and Granada - where the Moors had their famous Alhambra palace and gardens. From Conchar, Granada with its many tourist attractions and centuries of history is only 20minutes away; the ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada are about 40 minutes away, and the coast with its beaches and great fish restaurants is about 25 minutes. There are rural walks in the hills around the village - and elsewhere in the Lecrin valley; and mountaineering and hiking is also a popular activity in the area. On the coast at Salobrena there is a Moorish castle overlooking the town. Because the village is in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, there is usually a breeze - so that even at the height of August it is rarely oppressively hot.
