Photos and Description of this Pomarance holiday apartment Two spacious apartments,very nicely furnished with pleasant colors and materials

Our estate is 9 hectares with an olive grove from which we make a small production of extra virgin olive oil. We rent two apartments that have been completely renovated in May 2009. From I Casali it's easy to reach beautiful beaches, many historical cities and medieval towns in Tuscany such as Volterra, San Gemignano, Firenze, Lucca and Pisa. We are located next to a natural reserve of 5.000 hectares (12.500 Acres). On the property you can find your favourite spot, overlooking the Tuscan hills sitting under a large holm oak or a juniper tree just gazing at the olive grove. You can walk along the trail to the spring of sulphurous water, passing by the pond where the small wild animals come to drink. If you are lucky you may see a turtle along the way. We want to pay respect to the nature and its resources. Our olive oil production is in the process of obtaining organic farming certification, and regarding the tourist apartments we’re preparing for the Ecolabel approval.

Two bedrooms with queen size beds, a living room with a sofa bed 200 cm (78 inches) wide, one kitchen, two bathrooms with shower (including a hair drier). An extra single bed is available. Each room, including the bathrooms, has at least one window. The kitchen is well equipped with regards to cookware and porcelain. It has induction cook top. The apartments are spacious, comfortable, and very nicely furnished with pleasant colours and materials, according to the Tuscan tradition. Wood tables and benches for open-air meals and recreational time near the apartment. Deckchairs available. Wireless connection.

Me and my friends, ten ladies in their forties, went for an autumn break to lovely "I Casali". We took the cheapest flight to Bergamo, rented two cars and had a nice trip (with lots of laugh) south to "I Casali". We arrived late at night, but found our way quite easily to the estate. The morning was breathtaking when we opened the windows and had the most magnificent view over the valleys all way to Volterra!! It felt like being in a movie! The apartments were clean, fresch and well equipped with all we could even think of. Both the building and the interior were in traditional tuscany-style. We enjoyed trips to the sea, walks in the neibourhood and culture in Volterra and nearby villages. There are plenty to see! The small little restaurant in Micciano with exellent food and serving was just excellent! We had so much fun! We highly rekommend "I Calsali" for the athmosphere, the wonderful view, the beautiful apartments located at the countryside but at the same time close to culture, attractions and the sea! Beautiful location in rural Tuscany

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time at I Casali. It was our first time in Tuscany; we had chosen it because of the beautiful views shown in the photos and we were not disappointed! I Casali is in a very picturesque location with easy access to the many hilltop medieval towns in the surrounding area; we spent a couple of days just wandering around these.
We were also able to do days trips to Pisa and Florence - Florence is slightly further (less than 2 hours) so I would recommend an early start; but both are spectacular (particularly Florence) so I would definitely recommend making the effort.
There is also easy access to many beaches (at roughly 30-40 minutes), and we were even able to visit a vineyard (arranged by Pietro at very short notice - thank you!). We should also thank Pietro and Eva, as nothing was too much trouble and their fluent English saved us given our almost non-existent Italian.
I Casali's best asset in my opinion is the stunning views from the olive groves where you can sit at the end of the day on some sun loungers provided with a cooling breeze and a glass of Pietro's wine - fantastic!
